Oct 19th 2010 9:40PM Wonder if he got an insurance certificate from his $20 man? Of course not, you can't afford insurance if you are earning $20/hr GROSS, for your billable hours. We won't even address whether the work was to code, proper materials were used, etc. There are three ways to lowest prices in the construction industry: poor workmanship, poor materials and no insurance. Such a deal!
Oct 15th 2010 10:32PM Good one! So true. Sad though, isn't it?
Sep 24th 2010 11:06PM And I thought "Joe the Plumber" was a moron. Let's go back to the phenomenal success of the previous administration's economic policies (or lack thereof)and get back on track, right guys? Let’s get rid of Obama and go back to the way it was before he took over, right? Can you remember what was going on then?
Now try to remember back to the eight years prior to Bush. We were paying down the national debt under a Dem administration - now that's some crazy stuff from big gov/big spending Dems, huh? Why pay off the national debt when you can piss all of our money away invading a sovereign nation that poses absolutely no threat to our national security and kill thousands of young people in the bargain. Boy I sure do miss the "good old days".
Aug 18th 2010 12:12AM Good one Gloria! Too bad you weren't working in HR for BP, then you could have offered them both in one job.
Aug 18th 2010 12:09AM So many outstanding candidates and so few jobs. Then again, it's easy to see why some are unemployed.
Great article Barbara. I am self employed and have to re-employ myself multiple times each year. I read this article and took away a few gems. You discouraged job seekers would do well to drop the baggage and open up to new ideas. Read this again and see if you don't find at least one of the 33 points is a "take away".
Apr 21st 2010 10:58PM Good one Ron! Maybe the wrong one retired.
Nov 5th 2008 8:15AM I too voted for Obama. I voted for the man I believe is best qualified to lead our nation in these difficult times. That man happens to be black.
Sep 13th 2007 11:52PM Travolta said it best in Pulp Fiction, "A $5 milk shake? That must be some f****** milk shake".
Jan 25th 2007 8:35PM Do you think AOL would play this without releases? If this were real, do you think Mom & Dad would sign a release? Maybe? If it's real, all of your comments are a great reality check for these people in big trouble. If it's not real, your comments are still great - respect, hard work, gratitude, active parenting...America is alive and well!
