How Would You Deal with Charlie Sheen (and Other Problem Employees)? {AOL Small Business}

Mar 3rd 2011 10:50AM I am getting sick and tired of hearing how difficult things are for a guy who makes 2 million per show. If I were his boss I would fire him. There is no place where it is appropriate to make comments like "I love Hitler". Is he nuts besides being an out of control addict? Frankly, his other comments were so disrespectful that for them alone he should be fired. Who the hell does he think pays him his 2 million per episode? HIS BOSS that he spoke so negatively about. I'd love to have a guy for a boss who pays me that kind of money. If I didn't like the guy I'd bite my tongue, put in a few years and leave a rich man. Charlie belongs in a long term rehab and frankly, I don't have much hope for him based on his total denial of his problem. My advice to Charlie: Realize you have a big problem that has interfered with your work and your home life. Find a good rehab, check yourself in and try to get better by following the "program". Don't ruin the rest of your life - it's too damn precious and fragile. We'd hate to lose you Charlie.

Best and Worst Cell Phones: GoodGuide's Exclusive Ratings {WalletPop}

Feb 16th 2011 9:40AM how could you leave Iphone off the list. By doing this you accept a corrupted analysis. How could you rate cars and leave out Mercedes? I wonder who paid who or who's scared of who. Typical BS.

New Jersey School District to Drug-Test Middle Schoolers {ParentDish}

Jan 13th 2011 2:47PM enough with this "big brother" is watching you stuff. No amount of testing or punishment will stop kids from taking drugs. We need better family structure and better parenting. It seems that a much larger percentage of today's parents are divorced, seperated or working full time. Kids need limits, boundries and lots of nurturing and love if we expect them to not need drugs. Drugs are a symptom of problems such as poor self-esteem and the need to self medicate because the person is feeling really bad! Stop with the prisons, jails, DEA etc.... get rid of them all and use the zillions we spend on prosecution, incarceration, salaries and perks to build a proper model to stop the need to use drugs. This can only be accomplished in a no jail no prosecution environment where people aren't afraid to admit that they have a need to use drugs. I grew up in the 60's and had all the chances in the world to use drugs but I didn't need to use drugs because my parents were there for me 100% of the time and served as great role models. Addiction is a considered a disease so why the hell do we allow the DEA and the police to "treat" the problem by locking people up. Being a disease it should be treated by medical professionals.

Plane Crash That Killed 20 Being Blamed on Escaped Crocodile {AOL Travel News}

Oct 22nd 2010 9:23AM I'm sorry you had such a horrible experience but crocs have been here since the beginning of time and I'm certain his experience was similar. People should care about the lives of other animals on our planet since their lives are as important to them as our lives are to us. Again, I do feel for you but I also ask what the heck is a croc doing in a bag on a small plane?

The Doggie Diaries - We're a Year Old! {Pawnation OLD}

Oct 14th 2010 11:02AM The first year with a dog, especially a young one, can be a real challange. I love the way you tell your story. Screw the neighbors - when you gotta go you gotta go! -

Protecting Yourself from Bedbugs: 5 Things You Need to Know {AOL Small Business}

Oct 5th 2010 11:02AM The bedbug problem we are facing reminds me of a 1950 horror movie - where nature goes wild. I believe we have brought this on ourselves. Many people think we should begin using DDT again. Bedbugs, I'm certain, would not be killed by DDT but rather they would probably eat the stuff. What you'll wind up with would be something like bedbugs on steroids. We need to look at this as an imbalance in nature and look for safe chemicals to eradicate them - if possible! Meanwhile, don't wait until you see the critters - you will get bites before you see them. They really suck!

27 Million and Counting: Amy Baxter, Buzzy {AOL Small Business}

Sep 28th 2010 2:06PM Not so brilliant! Shots hurt - period! yes, an ice cube will freeze the outside skin surface a bit but shots still hurt in varying degrees depending on one's pain tolerance. I too wonder how much of a grant from the NIH was involved with this silly gimmick.

Kids, Adults Should Get Flu Vaccine, American Lung Association Urges {ParentDish}

Sep 10th 2010 2:50PM You stated that "Americans don't trust their government as much as people in other countries do" as a reason many people avoid vaccines. Trust our government, are you kidding? Trust our doctors, are you kidding? All they both want is our MONEY! I avoid doctors like the plague. I am 61 and have never been vaccinated for anything other then smallpox and polio. I fully understand that the flu can be serious but I also feel my immune system is there for a reason and so far it's done me well as I am still quite vertical. Years ago I trusted our medical system but over the past 30 years things have changed. Go to an ER in a major city and see the quality of care you get not to mention the obscene bill. It doesn't matter if insurance pays because we all pay in the end one way or the other. Flu shots are not the problem or the solution. The problem is HEALTH CARE and the solution is to change the way it works so everyone can get first rate health care for a reasonable fee.

North America's Bedbug-Infested Cities {AOL Travel News}

Aug 17th 2010 2:55PM These guys make great characters for a horror movie. They are parasitic (they bite and suck your blood), smelly, can provoke allergic reactions, ugly and disgusting as hell, they are difficult to eliminate and all over the place! It's time we do more then say "well, check your hotel room carefully". There are many ways to get these guys in one's house or apartment. All you need to do is be standing next to someone at the grocery who has them or eggs on their clothes or perhaps take a cab where some passenger has a bb problem - you'll bring 'em home no matter how clean you are. What to do? 1. recognize the enemy and signs of it's presence.
2. call an exterminator you can trust or if you are a DIY kinda guy try a product made by Diatect International that contains Pyrethrins and silicon dioxide - both will kill these suckers. Get a dust sprayer for easy application. You can use this product everywhere and anywhere - it's SAFE for most pets and people 3. Try not to panic or freak out - it's going to take some time to really rid your home of these creatures but with due diligence you can get your old house or apartment back.
