May 26th 2009 2:23PM Actually, yes, the watch is made by Seiko, very expensive, and very nice.

Hahaha, Google taking privacy seriously. No, really, April Fool's Day is way past.
May 19th 2009 4:19PM Have you had any experience lately with AMOLED? Because the specs say they are lower power than LCD in just about any application. But I was wondering how the brightness looks, like in daylight/sunlight, thus my question about actual experience (spec sheets don't convey that stuff very well).
I think a lot of people who are quoting lower power consumption of OLED really mean AMOLED as opposed to PMOLED. I think the prefix will be dropped just like it has with LCD (and it's not just because AMLCD is the only game in town... a lot of mobile devices still use passive matrix LCDs).

you don't know what opaque means, huh?
May 18th 2009 2:30PM If your Minolta SLRs are Maxxums, you may want to check into it to see if your existing lenses are worth anything on a new camera (quality, usefulness, and compatibility). If so, that factors in to the Sony v. Nikon v. Canon equation. Or if you're Mr. Moneybags, then maybe it doesn't. But since you didn't register with that name, I'll assume that the money saved might be worth it.

May 17th 2009 7:23PM I really hope the A350 is not replaced by the A380... the A350 is a great backup camera when you can't afford an extra A900 or A700. Although you need a different grip, it has CF compatibility, long battery life (and the same batteries), and decent performance in RAW mode. The new series will need different memory cards and batteries.

Because the sensor isn't everything. Nay, it's not nearly as much compared to the amount of image processing software that is on the camera.
So while Sony is still DEVELOPING and fabricating the sensors (you can tell because some of the sensors used in Nikons are exactly the same as in other cameras), they haven't put the work in to the SOFTWARE used in the camera. It's a shame too, because if the A350 had just 1/50th of the firmware updates that the Playstation 3 has had, the image quality could be a LOT better.
May 17th 2009 7:12PM I don't care for Mr. Stewart either, but I was glad he won when it started looking like Kyle Busch was going to win... whew.
Us toothless redneck NASCAR fans gotta stick together, you know. Yeah, we all come out of the woodwork when there's 100,000 of us each at Infineon and LVMS, two places where there's a huge concentration of toothless rednecks.

Maybe there is no edit provision in the actual blog entries either.
