Jun 18th 2009 1:47PM Low rank me because I only looked at the live announcement which didn't include the 2.53GHz 13".
Jun 18th 2009 1:46PM "Speed bumps"??
Shouldn't that be "speed pothole" in the case of the 13" MacBook unibody which was previously available as 2.4GHz?

Have you ever actually used one of the new MacBook Pros? I can mute mine with one hand (one finger actually, you only press the key, no Fn involved) and the caps lock almost never gets activated unless you actually press on it (it has that delay thing for activation).
I don't know what the notebookreviews people do but my unibody MacBook Pro is one of the most coolest running laptops I have, especially compared to an older MacBook Pro or my Sony. Maybe I need to do some Maya renders while it sits in my lap and I too can feel the heat.

Any useful programmer (or prOn viewer) will remap the control/fn keys within minutes of first encounter with a macbook (or mac with BT keyboard). The next few minutes will be spent prying the keys out of their places and popping them back in "correctly".

Jun 8th 2009 1:28PM I've read a lot about these "support nightmares" with Apple, and dreaded taking my MacBook in to the store to ask about replacing it. I walked in to the store, and before I was 3 feet through the door, was greeted and asked what I could be helped with. I explained my problem, the girl took out her portable device and scanned my laptop box, within 5 minutes someone appeared from the back with a new MacBook box and she gave it to me and said "have a nice day". She didn't even open my old box. I asked if I could check it out before I left the store and she told me no problem. I opened it and booted it and it had a dead pixel, so she told me she would get another one. A few keypresses on her Symbol scanner and again 5 minutes later a new one appeared from the back and I checked it out and all was good. I'm typing on it now. This all happened at the very front table in the store, 10 feet from the door. That's as far in as I got that day.
When we left I mentioned to my girlfriend that the experience didn't seem so bad, I was expecting the worse after reading horror stories on the net. She said it must have something to do with the attitude which you approach the employees. I can see how that can be true in many cases (obviously not all).
Sorry to hear you had a bad experience. But everything bad you hear about Apple customer service MUST be a lie, since you had a bad experience.
May 30th 2009 2:16PM I'm trying to do it now with my PS3 but there's no good solution (full-screen Flash video has bad performance right now on PS3) but if Sony would make it easy... I would be all over it.

You really think most of them still believe they are part of the UK?
May 27th 2009 11:56AM Well Fernando and his friend, I know that you two are probably the ultimate source in deciding what network is fastest and all, but there are other people in the world who might actually get different results than you. Can you believe it? I didn't think so.
Whoa, and that's a Motorola RAZR (not RAZR2).
May 27th 2009 11:45AM I've driven from one end of Sweden to the other in a day. Yawn.
