Lessons From the Recession: 10 Things We Learned in 2010 {WalletPop}
Dec 30th 2010 7:17PM Bush didnt make people buy homes they couldnt afford. It was made possible and worse by the Clinton administration in 1999 when it revived the Community Reinvestment act that allowed people to buy homes with no money down that they couldnt afford in the first place. It was made even worse when the Democrats took majority control of both Houses of Congress on January 3, 2007 and forced Fannie and Freddie to guaranty 52% of the Loans. Why wouldnt the Lenders approved Loans that were guaranteed by the Government if they were bad?It took the Majority controlled Congress to pass the 2008 TARP that baile dout the Banks and also to bail out Fannie and Freddie for 200 Billion. My home that I bought in 1980 was paid off in 2005. I knew there was a problem when home values rose 120% between 2000-2007 because of this huge inequality of demand created by no money down loans to people who couldnt afford them. It didnt affect me. I am not worried about the fact that my home went down 30% in value when the bubble burst because ithe 120% rise in value in seven years was histrorically absurd. and shouldnt have happened etc. The Recsssion then started in December 2007. Look it up and also do a search on the Community Reinvestment act and Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.If luxury car deakers such as Lamborghini, Masearati and Ferrari allowed you to buy their cars with no money down and no credit check because the Loans were guaranteed by the Government do you think that people that couldnt afford them wouldnt buy them or Bush could stop them?Presidents propose and Congress disposes. It is Congress who enacts the legislation and approves the Budget.
Busy Travel Day Snarled By Snow, Passengers Stranded {AOL Travel News}
Dec 28th 2010 11:00AM Again. Local markets, Roadside stands and specialized Internet websites do not have large Commerical trucks delivering Produce to them and are not subject to Interstate Commerce and Government Regulation and hence NAFTAThese would be the stores I mentioned such as Publix in Florida. Safeway in California. Is Stater Brothers still around etc?. If an example of an adult is somebodt that doesnt know the difference between a locally operated small scale operatiom and Interstate commerce etc then it is no wonder we are is trouble. Stick to your gaming console and your place of employment where you spread the secret sauce on the burgers. A simple visit and question to one of a chain of Grocery stores would have verified it. Walmart also has a grocery chain.

Dec 28th 2010 10:48AM Apparenty soem people didnt understand my comment and accused me of being full of it so read it again. I said that produce is sold on the roadside and on the Internet. Local home grown produce are sold in local palces which would be the same as a roadside tyoe building. Commercial trucks do not deliver produce to these local markets and they are not subject to Interstate Commerce and Government regulation and hence not Nafta. I mentioned Publix in Florida. I will also mention Winn Dixie as well as Safeway in California etc. It is people that are not informed and accuse others of being full of it that are the problem and cause others like their uniformed selves to be led astray. I told people to ask the produce managers of the non local stores etc.

Dec 27th 2010 7:42PM It will add 700 Billion to the Deficit over ten years for the so called tax cutes to the rich or 70 Billion a year. It will cost three trillion or 300 Billion a year over ten years for those making under 250K a year. Wake up.We are in this mess because of Housing that started in 1999 when the Clinton Administration revived the Community Reinvestment act which allowed people to buy homes with no money down. Look it up. When the Democrats took majority control of Congress on January 3, 2007 they made Fannie and Freddie guaranty these bad loans and the Bankers wrote even more of them. The recession started in December 2007. Look it up. These bad Loans were bad enough but Fannie and Freddie also allowed exotic types of financing that many didnt understand including overseas. The total defiit increased by five trillion since January 3, 2007. Look it up. Unemployment has stayed the same for 22 months because Obama let Reid and Pelosi run the show and rubber stamped them. It was the Majority Democrat Congress who had to approve the 2008 TARP that bailed out the Banks . Look it up. Then Chrysler and GM were bailed out then the Unions. Look it up. At least get the facts straight if you are going to try and revise History.

Dec 27th 2010 5:47PM I also live in Florida. Do you really believe that the Citrus that grows in Florida is sold in Florida?. The only place that you can buy it is on the roadside or on the Internet from the websites that specialize in it. The Grocery Stores such as Publix etc must get it from other States and South America because of NAFTA. Ask the Manager in the Produce section next time. Of course, the Frost excuse will be used to raise prices which will not affect the Citrus from other States and S.A. and will be added to the Transportation costs etc. Why anybody would take a plane when they knew this weather was coming is beyond me. There might not be a blizzard in California but if you are going to New York etc then the plane cant land there. They also couldnt land in Atllanta Georgia which is a hub in the south. But then they are also going to the airports and standing around for 24 hours when told to stay home or in their Hotel.
FAA Proposes Fines on American Eagle, Continental {AOL Travel News}
Dec 27th 2010 9:57AM They will most likely be able to pass these fines along as increased fees to the passengers. With the exception of Southwestern most of them increased luggage fees and made a profit etc. There was no Bail out for the Airliines. I dont know where Skippy got that information?The first bailout was TARP in 2008 passed by the Democratic controlled Congress in 2008 for the Banks as they took majority power on January 3, 2007. Presidents propose, Congress disposes and then Presidents enforce. The next bail out was Chrysler and GM. Ford didnt take one. The next bail out was the Unions. The Airlines never got a bailout even though they asked for one. The passengers bailed them out by paying their prices.
'Million Dollar Money Drop' Still Won't Give Players Their $800,000, Fox Executive Denies That Any Mistake Was Made (VIDEO) {AOL TV}
Dec 27th 2010 9:29AM Here is the situation. The year 1977 was thirty three years ago.How old are the contestants? It is doubtful that they are old enough to be there. Even if they were old enough and they were test marketed in four cities then were they in those cities?.This is like asking when Mcdonalds made its debut. The McDonald brothers had a hamburger stand in San Bernardino Calif many years before Ray Kroc came along and expanded the concept etc. 3M also admits that Post its were first marketed as a different name so technically they werent Post Its. If they want to sue anybody then they need to sue 3M for incomplete information. The Show took its information from the source.
The Top 10 TV Jerks of 2010: The Archie Bunker Awards {AOL TV}
Dec 26th 2010 5:43PM There always has to be somebody who has to mention Palin. She doesnt have a mainstream show on a main stream channel. Most of the people mentioned in these shows are playing a character. its their role. Get over it. Do people actually watch Leno, Conan ,SNL and Letterman.You have to have really low self esteem to watch a show where three quarters of it is dedidcated to making fun of others.
CBS Midseason Schedule: 'Blue Bloods,' 'Defenders' Move {AOL TV}
Dec 26th 2010 9:35AM Look at Monday night. They are going to have two hours of straight comedy and then Hawaii-50. I watch the Closer on another network at 9 PM. People will either not watch the comedy shows or they will watch Isles after the Closer when it returns or Men of a Certain age rather then all comedy on CBS to wait for Hawaii 50. If they set their VCR then they will not be home to change it to watch 50 if they dont like all the comedy shows. I think it was done because they are cancelling Medium on Friday and bringing in Paula Abdul on Wednesdays.Then there is the Survivor change. Does anybody still watch it?Chaos is just replacing Medium so it looks like the changes are to accomdate Survivor and Paula Abdul.Dont see why they have to change Blue Bloods for two weeks. That is really ridiculous.
Two 'Dancing' Divas: Did Kate Gosselin and Bristol Palin Ruin 'Dancing With the Stars'? {AOL TV}
Dec 24th 2010 11:29AM Why would anybody waste their time watching this show in the first place. Why not watch paint dry on the wall?. Sme with A.I where each person gets 10 votes. They use their cellphone nand the phone in the house for twenty votes. Another ten on the website and if you can find two more friends and relatives then a total of fifty voted. Multiply this by 500,000 people etc and you have 25 million votes and people can make or break a contestant if they dont like thier age, costume, body etc. It has nothing to do with dance expertise in most cases. Since the results are skewed to the viewers then you are going to have brain dead results if a bunch of brain dead people are allowed to have this many votes.
