Apr 13th 2011 11:58AM There are airheads who compare a Business trip to a tour in a War zone etc.They still are as pathetic as the Commander in Chief who for the first time in history declared our troops as "nonessential". in case of a Government shutdown which would mean they wouldnt get paid and the families back home that live paycheck to paycheck would have been in big trouble a nd if any wouldhave been killed then Insurance known as Survivor benefits would not have been paid. Do a search on "non essential military".

Mar 22nd 2011 10:11AM I am old enough to remember Steve Mc Queen and his television series " Wanted Dead or alive. I am originally from Southern California about 60 Southeast of Los Angeles. Steve Mc Queen used to come through that town on his way to Lake Arrowhead and Big Bear which at the time was where a lot of Celebrities would vacation. He would also stop by a gym in Fontana California to visit a friend and was always trying to talk him into going into the Movies and that he would help him.The friend constantly refused until he dedided to try it. That friend was/is Chuck Norris.

One person here mentioned Honey boy. Junior Wells died several years ago. B.B. King is up in age. Ray Charles has been gone for a while.They just dont make them like these anymore. Most if not all of them were self taught. We will miss you Pinetop.

The margin requirement for a speculator is 10% so they have a 10 to 1 leverage in controllling a contract which affects prices. Fifty percent of the Oil rigs are located on the Gulf of Mexico which is subject to seasonal Hurricanes such as Katrina. Complain ot the environmentalists who dont want them in another location. Then there is the Local, State and Federal Gas tax on a gallon of gasoline.Tjhe global currency is the dollar. The dollar is weak because of all the spending nby the Fed and the former Congress. The price of Oil goes up to compensate for it. Then there are the independent gas stations owners who raise their prices to protect their margin when they see prices starting to rise to be ale to pay for their next shipment of gas. The Gas and Oil people have little to do with it. Stop being manipulated by sound bites.

Feb 7th 2011 11:40AM The song is extermely difficult to sing. How many people remember the Jose Feliceano version? Some singers try to jazz it up and some do an excellent job although Francis Scott Key did not mean it this way. She was obviously trying to do it and she flubbed it. She obviously got it mixed up with the verse that goes twilights last gleaming.........If she wanted to jazz it up then she should have practiced it etc. This flub was an insult to our troops serving abroad, others on active duty as well as the retired and veterans.

Jan 27th 2011 7:11PM All coffee does not taste the same. I have been buying whole bean coffee on the Internet and griding and brewing it for some time. I have tried several sites and I go for the flavored gourment coffee bean . You can also get the non flavored coffee form the differnt regions. You can buy flavored some flavored coffee at retail outlets but nothing like the Internet. I have narrowed my tastes down to three flavors form one Internet outlet. They are Almond Toffee Crunch, Mexican Liquer and Chocolate Cherry coffee. I use one measuring scoop to each cup. Sometimes a little over one for a certain flavor. I use a coffee brewer that has the grinder built in as I used a separate grinder before and it clogged internally and I would have to clean it. Doesnt happen with the built in grinder. You just cant get most of the flavors retail. You can get the flavor for your taste buds and still get the caffeine kick.You can also buy flavored de-caffeinated coffee on the Internet in many flavors.

Would it have hurt people to have given him the benefit of the doubt? God bless the Pilot. I have no doubt that his daughter needed him and I am not familar with the situation of the Child, however, I doubt that the severe beating that resulted in his death was a one time event. It usually works up to this point and I have to think that the Mother toleated and knew of the viloent tendencies etc of the boyfriend.

Let us say that Parents worked to be able to buy a House and then decided to upgrade and sell it and buy a bigger House and their son told a friend that since they were moving to a bigger House that they could have their old house. Imagine the problems. In this instance their old House was going to be given to another famiy but the boy made the decision for them. What might he volunteer to give away next time?

Dec 31st 2010 1:33PM I have Satellite T.V. and have watched all the Cable channels and now have resorted to only the pure Financial c hannels. I have seen O'Reilly make inaccurate comments on Economics and challenge those more experienced on it.He needs to stay out of this area.Pure Fox news dies an excellent job of reporting. Who else is reporting on the possibility that Sanitation wokers in New York did na slow down on the blizzard because they were upset with budget cuts that affected them? Who else is reporting that Unions in California are upset that volunteers in the edcuational system are a threat to their salaries and benefits etc? CNN is getting better sicnce they fired the pure Idelogical people. Anderson 360 and a few others do an excellent job of reporting and analyzing the news instead of trying to invent it. If I wanted to be misinformed such as the eight years of Republican control even though the Democrats took control of both Houses of Congress on January 3, 2007 then I would bury my head in the sand and listen to MSNBC. It is biased and based only on Ideological concerns and is apparently also childish.
