The end of the CD? Virgin closing more Megastores {WalletPop}
Mar 2nd 2009 10:32PM How sad, the Virgin Megastore in Union Square saved a job for me last year. I was engineering a band in Tribeca and the couple's first dance was on Mp3. Well, when the file got corrupted somehow, I was able to run a few blocks and get it on CD, therefore saving the night.
Instead of closing, they should put up downladable kiosks that you can burn to CD & print the inserts.
This economy sucks...
