SmackDown: Would You Make Your Kid Drink Hot Sauce as Punishment? {ParentDish}
Feb 2nd 2011 2:49AM We cringe when we hear about a parent burning a child with cigarettes;
this is no different because it is burning the child internally.
Oh Ricky, You Weren't Fine: Gervais Banned From Globes Hosting Duties? {PopEater}
Jan 18th 2011 2:05AM In an industry where adults are overpaid to pretend to be someone they are not, it is not surprising they can't handle the truth about themselves. I think Ricky is the best thing that ever happened to the Golden Globes. I admire him because he doesn't back down from the truth and presents it with humor. If he's not the host next year, I won't be watching the Golden Gloves, I'll just read who won
on enews.
Desperately Seeking Helen Thomas? {AOL Hot Searches}
Jun 8th 2010 4:24PM It is a sad day in this country that prizes itself on freedom of speech/the press that has one reporter, Bonnie Goldstein, explaining another's, Helen Thomas, opinion as an "UNGUARDED moment." Freedom of speech means NOT having to guard your opinions no matter what they may be without repercussions. Freedom of speech is being replaced by political correctness. Every time a person stops to analyze the content of their speech, they surrender their FREEDOM of speech. It seems to me that the very people in the '60's that chanted: "I may not agree with what you say but I will defend your right to say it." have now taken the opposite position by creating and supporting this politically correct indoctrination into our society.
One also has to question the timing of Helen's retirement that comes on the heels of her pointed question to president Obama regarding Iraq. He clearly did not like her audacity so it makes me wonder if this administration did not go on some sort of a witch hunt to prevent her from asking him any more pointed questions.

Is This 'Single Ladies' Video Too Hot for Tots? {ParentDish}
May 14th 2010 2:34AM I find this totally inappropriate for 7 year olds. It is very interesting to read blasé comments about these little girls. I wonder how the people who think this is okay would react to a video of 7 year old boys in military costumes playing with "TOY" guns. I bet you wouldn't be able to shut them up.
Rourke Refuses to Apologize for Gay Slurs {PopEater}
Oct 12th 2009 6:03PM Political correctness is eliminating our freedom of speech. If someone wants to make an ass of himself, he should have the FREEDOM to do so without having to apologize for it. It is up to the readers to form their own opinions of what is right or wrong.
Whole Foods drama continues: Unions join in fight against CEO {Daily Finance}
Aug 28th 2009 7:21PM Liberals are liberal only if you agree with them. They preach tolerance but if something doesn't fit in with
their politics, they are intolerant.
John Mackey has created an outstanding work environment for his employees and the best supermarket
in the San Francisco bay area. I applaud him and respect
his right to have his own opinions. I will continue to shop
and, as always, encourage my friends to spend a little more for a superior product from a business that cares.
Michelle Obama's Jason Wu Gown {Luxist}
Jan 23rd 2009 6:05AM First off: she's attractive. However, that dress is so
unflattering. It borders on tacky. Her earrings hit the
Tarzanlike strap and it makes her look pregnant. She
needed a more tailored look (something sleek.) It also made her look big and gawky where a sleek gown would have made her look statuesque and regal. She also has a pretty face and her hair should have been pulled back or up. It pretty much looks like an office hair do. A red or brighter lipstick would have made her beautiful brown eyes sparkle even more.
Obama's First Fashion Faux Pas {Luxist}
Jan 23rd 2009 3:17AM Why is everyone afraid to say that Michelle's ball gown
was very unflattering. She is attractive and that dress
did not compliment her. If she is not pregnant, it makes
her appear to be so.
