Sep 26th 2010 10:55PM Opinions are like A-holes, everybody has one and most of them are wrong. In 71' I drove a Fiat 1100. Front wheel drive. A real fun car. Not sure but I believe there were not many front drive cars in America. Great turning radius. Fantastic in snow and if you ran off the road shoulder the Fiat would straighten itself out. (FWD did the trick.) Decent gas mileage too. The 124 convertible was a great car compared to the MG's and Triumph's of that era. Best horn on the highway. Factoid: Franklin D. Roosevelt Jr. (the presidents son) was the first U.S. distributor for Fiat. Instead of all this uneducated speculation lets wait until the car gets here, then judge the car based on facts. Remember the first Jap and German cars in the U.S.? (Except the VW) give Fiat a little slack....

May 27th 2010 2:00AM Barack Hussein Obama, both Barack and Obama are underlined in red on my screen. That apparently signifies that neither word is commonly accepted in the english language. He is our President. Fortunately his acceptance is diminishing. I do not say that to bring harm to Mr. Obama or our country. My hope is that most Americans will wake up to his tactics of truth twisting, false facts and promises, lack of action when there is urgency and a general attitude of being better than most citizens of this country. He cannot take criticism and his arrogance is repulsive. This man with a suspect background is not forming any sort of coalition between the political parties. We should stop screwing around with personal differences and get down to the basics of bringing this country to its place in the world. Number One. Making excuses and apoligizing for America sure as hell won't get that done. Unlike the man in California that wondered why we can't all just get along. (Rodney King) President Obama should wake up and realize that every other country in this world is hoping for the demise of the United States of America.

The United States has never elected a President like the one currently in office. It is not his multi racial birth nor the color of his skin. It is his life history, his education, his academic accomplishments, his radical connections, his previous employers and his unabashed ability to prevaricate and get away with it. I thank the good Lord that I am 79 years of age. I love this country. I have experienced a great deal of subterfuge in my life so I recognize some of the current events. Whatever the reality of what is brewing in Washington will not affect my peaceful departure from this earth. I do pray every day for my fellow countrymen and women and most of all the children. They cannot protect themselves.

They have more benefits than any other group of workers. Even the unions......And wait til the government employees, state and municipal workers start drawing their unfunded retirement benefits, (and they think they are broke now).

May 14th 2010 1:14AM I wonder if all you pseudo Americans that are so politically correct will have the same feelings when in the next two or three decades this country becomes majority Latino? Maybe then, when your heritage means nothing and this country as you know it now makes dramatic changes that affect your everyday life you will be able to comprehend freedom of speech and expression of your heritage. I love America and the Confederate heritage that many Americans have. Recent example; on the holiday Cinco de Mayo some Hispanic kids wore the Mexican flag to school. I think that was a proud display of their heritage. But when the School administration forced some American students to remove the American flags they displayed the incident to me displays reverse racisim. You folks have the right to denegrate my writing which is simply my opinion. When you have those rights taken away you might just wake up and thank God that you now live in this great country.

May 13th 2010 1:05AM My Great Grandfather fought in the Civil War. He was an American. I am proud of my heritage. Real history is being ravaged by political correctness. Every member of my family has served in the armed forces of the United States. We are all alive and well except for the Marine killed in the Vietnam war. The Confederate flag is an American flag. Consider this: The Civil War was not about slavery. The north did not want the South to secede from the Union. Be that as it may, No one in my family will ever enter the NASCAR hall of fame. And we will not attend another NASCAR event.

Most Americans will swallow his reasoning. We won't be able to send a rocket into space. Our country will have to use commercial rockets or rent them from the Russians for many millions of dollars. By 2020 Obama will be history. Other nations will swipe our technology, Iran will have the bomb. We will be in the start over again mode. Methinks he will try to use the money saved to add more millions to the health care program.
