Upcoming Time Capsule tied to iCloud, caches software updates? {TUAW.com}

Jun 2nd 2011 9:22PM Isn't it obvious, or at least plausible, that all of the above is possible PLUS the addition of Thunderbolt.

Video: EVO pits Audi RS3 vs. Subaru WRX STI Spec C vs. Ford Focus RS vs... Ferrari Enzo?! {Autoblog}

Apr 15th 2011 8:27PM For some reason, EVO is not using Chris Harris like they should be. He is probably the best at doing in-car reviews etc..., and they never use him for that, though he is their Super Star writer.

White iPhone reportedly disappears from Apple inventory database {TUAW.com}

Apr 6th 2011 2:52PM I saw this white iPhone last week in the hands of a DC United soccer player. I asked him where he got it. He said his black iPhone 4 broke and returned it to a DC area Apple store. They gave him the choice of white or black. Here's the photo evidence:

With rising gas prices, how much can you save using mass transit? {Autoblog}

Mar 14th 2011 7:41PM I ran the numbers for where I live (Colorado) and it's actually cheaper to drive my car. The problem here is we only have bus service and it's about $4 round trip. I spend about $1.50 per day. It's a shame because I have no issue with public transportation. I used it in LA a few weeks ago, in fact I took the train from the station right next to Motor Trend's offices. We're going to DC and not even renting a car, why bother with their Metro?

However, rail and high speed rail here and in Europe are ridiculously expensive. We were going to take a trip up to Philadelphia. It would cost us nearly $250 for a round trip, 2 adults, 1 child. We're not going to do it. We're also planning a trip to the UK. A round trip from London and Edinburgh was about $500. We plan on renting a car for the transit, it's cheaper. That is a bummer. I love rail travel. I've done Amtrak (blech), Deutsche Bahn ICE (awesome), Shinkansen (magnificent), and high speed rail from Vienna to Budapest, plus various and sundry trains in the UK and Spain.

So, commuting doesn't work for me here. I'd do it if it did though.

iPhone navigation in the back country {TUAW.com}

Mar 13th 2011 7:12PM I've found Co-Pilot Live to work very well including in New York City, DC, Denver, Honolulu, Dallas, Atlanta, and several other cities. It also was outstanding between Denver and Las Vegas where cell service is spotty.

My review: http://livingwithipad3g.wordpress.com/2010/08/03/copilot-live-hd/

International travelers are best off with the AT&T iPad 2 Wi-Fi + 3G {TUAW.com}

Mar 5th 2011 3:15PM I agree fundamentally. However, it is not always simple to get a local sim so you'll be stuck with AT&T's international plan which is pricey. My biggest piece of advice is to NOT use Google Maps, it will suck your data dry in minutes. I wrote a post on it:
