Are you kidding me? "The Shining" w/Jack Nicholson (love that guy) absolutely SUCKED!! That was the most idiotic interpretation of a book ever! And Olive Oyle (Wendy)as the mother? Worst actress choice award, was she sleeping w/the director or something?! Why do they make a movie from a book and then change it all? What is the point? THAT is why a book is ALWAYS better than the movie it is "based" on. Steven King learned from the Shining that you cannot let someone else interpret your book. That is why he OK'd the redoing of "The Shining" the way it was intended to be told. That is why whenever someone does a movie from one of his books anymore, he has total say in the interpretation and puts his OK on it by doing a bit part in the movie. Lesson learned.
PS: Is this new book going to be as wordy as his last few books have been? Yawn...

Why was he driving so reckless as to hit a hydrant so soon from his house? Was she running after him w/a club? Why would she break out the back window? Was the vehicle on fire/all doors jammed shut/Tiger lock all the doors so she couldn't get in? Why does he, being so special, get to tell the Police when/where/what time he can be questioned? Sunday? So they can get their story coordinated and he can sober up? What goes here? Did he donate to the Police Ball? Why do all these black athletes get preferential treatment? (I use the word athlete very loosely) Since golf is not a freakin' sport! It's a rich man's idea of wasting time. The only reason these guys get into sports (especially boxing) is cuz they're too STUPID to make it in the real world and are convinced that the more money they make means they are brain smart. They also believe that if they give to charities then they have a "get out of jail free" card to go along w/the race card that they pull out of their wallet so much that now they have it hanging by a neck chain cuz it's alot easier to whip out at a moments notice whether it's warranted or not. Usually not! They are turning into the very thing they say they hate.
