Slicing Up the Best Pizza Values -- Savings Experiment {WalletPop}

Oct 7th 2010 9:40AM I have a few comments. Number one is that you don't have to leave the yeast in the water anymore unless you are using the old style of yeast in a cake form. Today's yeast granules can be stirred into the warm water with the flour. (Make sure the yeast isn't old, that's all). If you don't have a pilot light on your oven to warm it for the dough, just turn it to your lowest setting for about 5 min and then turn it off. Leave the door closed until you put the covered dough in the oven to rise. During the next 45 minutes you can saute mushrooms, onions, and peppers if you like those on your pizza. You even have enough time to make Italian sausage from ground pork or ground beef. After 45 minutes take out the dough, spread out about 1/2 tbl. of olive oil on a large rimmed cookie sheet and using your oiled fingers stretch out the dough from the middle of the pan. It takes practice. Don't lose heart! You can actually hook dough over the corners to hold it while you finish. Then put on lots of mozzerella, then your toppings, then a generous amount of parmesan. (You actually have time to grate all that while the dough is rising if everything---dough, sauce, and chopped topping ingredients--- are set out on the counter before starting the dough) I use a hot-425 degree-oven to bake my pizza for 30 minutes. I can never go back to cardboard pizza anymore. Oh yes--I would suggest about 1/2 tbl. sugar in that sauce recipe to calm all that acid.

Aug 31st 2010 6:30PM So that would mean that you are against homosexuality too because that really costs us alot due to the unhealthy lifestyle that it is, right? The average lifespan of a homosexual man is about 42. Heterosexual-72.

Jun 26th 2010 11:31AM You really don't understand what Jesus was talking about. He was talking about the spirit of a man, not his physical body-that passes away, but the soul lives forever. Spiritually, people are dead until the Spirit of God awakens them to see their sin--"For you were dead in your trespasses and sins"-gives them the faith to repent and believe-"For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is a gift of God, not of works, lest any man should boast"-and then grants them salvation-"Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you shall be saved".

You are hateful toward Christians because you want them to be something that they are not-gods. You have no grasp of Scripture because you are blinded by your own sin. You need to repent now and bow your knees NOW because someday-"Every knee will bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is LORD to the glory and praise of God"

Mexico Tourism Ad Draws Ire from Arizona Officials {AOL Travel News}

May 26th 2010 9:39AM Let's just put this one to rest Saj--there are NO original native Americans. Your ancestors (not you) came from someplace else. You are a native American simply because you were born here. Just like me. My ancestors came from Ireland (who caught hell for coming here in droves), Norway, Germany (many towns changed their German sounding names in WW2), and Cherokee (who originally came from somewhere else).

Now for T: Sure, there are going to be cops stopping people when they aren't supposed to. Happens all the time, with all kinds of people. We are still human. We are all--you included-guilty of all kinds of isms. Anyone says they aren't is an out and out liar. And I am not an immigrant. My ancestors were, but I am not. I am an American, born and raised here.

I have worked with dozens of Mexicans and never met one who wanted to become a citizen. They wanted to make money and then retire (at quite an early age) back in Mexico. They don't want to denounce their allegiance to Mexico. Having dated one for four years and learning all about the shadowy world of the illegal I can say, they are hard workers with goals in mind all the time. They also feel no regret when conning any government agency or any person into feeling sorry for them. I watched and tried to blow the whistle on some of them. I was ignored. The guy I dated told me that between 25-50% of all Mexican men that come here come because they have to leave Mexico. They are in trouble.

We need to not have any illusions about illegals. We could put a guest worker program into effect where they pay taxes and purchase health insurance, but we need to quit lying to ourselves about their desire to become citizens just because we love this country so much.

Don't Play Ball With State of Arizona {Fanhouse - Kevin Blackistone}

May 1st 2010 3:20PM My God. What kind of journalist are you? Get the story straight or get out of the business. They can't just stop someone and ask for their papers. And believe it or not--they are Caucasian. They are an ethnicity, not a race. And they are illegal. Do you know what that means? Any idea? What happens when you go for a drivers license? What proof do you have to give about who you are? What if you get stopped? What proof must you present? In court? At the hospital? Buying a house?
It is the responsibility of the Governor and legislature to protect the people of Arizona. It is the responsibility of the Federal Government according to our Constitution to secure the borders and handle immigration. Due to the fact that they are so busy with all kinds of programs, and committees, and departments, and pork belly distributing, they can't take care of what duties have been spelled out for them in the document. They are too busy taking care of what the states are supposed to be doing. If they would do only what is spelled out for them they would have plenty of time to have real jobs just like the founding fathers did. Maybe then they would have a clue. You too.

Apr 28th 2010 11:19AM How can he beat Hodgkins disease twice since '05? Clearly, he didn't beat it the first time. It was still there, only in remission. It's what scared him and made him turn all mushy.

Hipsters turn to food stamps to eat healthily {WalletPop}

Apr 11th 2010 3:24PM Colleges have lots of space. Why don't they have students put in their own gardens? Say a ten by ten? That wouldn't take much care, they would get some exercise, meet people where they aren't drinking, and learn something in the process. If they made it strictly organic, used season extenders (which can be made cheap), built their own greenhouses for winter use, they wouldn't be such a burden on society. People seem to forget that WE are the government. It is your neighbor who is paying for those food stamps, unemployment, welfare, etc.

Too Much Adulation as Woods Contends {Fanhouse - Jay Mariotti}

Apr 10th 2010 11:43AM Playing golf is easy. Being a solid, dependable, humble husband is what is difficult. The man has no shame. Why didn't he tell the crowd to stop! He doesn't deserve it nor want it! That would have been more in keeping with his "humble apologies" to half the world. Instead, the crowd was "incredible". He had the opportunity to put muscle behind his words but instead took the adulation while his wife and childrens pain is trampled on by a heartless mob. What a phony.

Apr 10th 2010 11:32AM King David said to God after his affair with Bathsheba: "Against You and YOU alone have I sinned." He doesn't need my forgiveness, but he does need Gods, and he ain't gettin' that as long as he is serving other gods. As for those that are cheering him on in his sin, well, birds of a feather...
