America's Most Haunted Hotels {Gadling}

Oct 23rd 2012 10:19AM I visited The Stanley Hotel just a few weeks ago, in beautiful Estes Park. We took the daytime ghost tour, which is every bit as good as the night time tour and cheaper! You're inside for 90% of the tour, so day or night doesn't matter. We enjoyed it so much and did indeed encounter the spirits of some children on a couch in one of the hallways. A gentleman about to be married was having his bachelor party that night and he was staying in room 217 as well...I am still trying to contact him to see if Mrs. Wilson made her appearance to chide him for staying in the wrong area. See, back in the day, single men were encouraged to stay in another building, to "protect" the unmarried women in the hotel! Mrs. Wilson made sure people stuck to the rules and according to the staff...she still does! Our tour guide, Bekka, was wonderful. Ask for her. It is clear she loves her job and all the spirits she works with!

American Apparel and CEO Dov Charney Hit With $260 Million Sex Lawsuit {Stylelist (Main)}

Mar 10th 2011 2:00PM The guy's a douchebag, and a PERVERT, and I hope against hope that this sticks and he has to pay this woman through his nose...if only to see him using a body part other than his oft-gnawed penis.

Randall Cunningham's 2-Year-Old Son Drowns in Family's Hot Tub {Fanhouse NFL Blog}

Jun 30th 2010 11:29AM My heart goes out to this family. I pray God gives you the strength to get through it. I can't imagine how devastating this must be for all of you...my deepest sympathies.

8 Spelling Mistakes Even Lemondrop Bloggers Make {Lemondrop}

Sep 22nd 2009 9:14AM I've noticed, even in print, the word "lose" spelled "loose", as in, "Don't loose your temper!" BAH!! Also, when I see people confusing "your" and "you're", it drives me batty. Interiorly, of course, because if you point out spelling errors to grown-ups, you look like a butthead.

Jimmy Carter Leaves Church Over Treatment of Women {Politics Daily}

Jul 20th 2009 11:56PM I'm afraid Jenny Jane IS for real. And while she's bustling around her home in conservative dress, doing for her master and being subservient and quiet, I'm going to be wearing my bold red dress and captaining my own ship, and loudly thanking God that I'm strong, outspoken and fully able to raise my children alone since my "superior" husband failed me and our children miserably. When a man earns my respect, he'll get it. Until then (and even then) it's all about me and my kids. Jimmy Carter is a smart and respectable man.

Soulja Boy Goes on Racist Twitter Rant Against Media {The Boombox}

Jul 6th 2009 9:41AM I don't care if SouljaBoy calls somebody my shade of pale a "cracker"...but I sure hate to see the ignorance it stirs among other whites. On a forum like this, on any given day, you can find some stupid redneck spewing old-school hatred, even if the topic is "Tasty Summertime Grilling". Take wolfpacklax30 up there...he can't even SPELL his slur of choice, but here he is to spout it. Or, "morenookie". Mmmm. yes, that screen name says it all, doesn't it? And what an enlightened comment he left here! Oh, I fervently pray that "morenookie" is sterile. Remember, folks, hate makes you sick. Take the high road....and make wide circles around the bigots in your paths.

Burger King goes off the deep end, again, this time in Mexico {WalletPop}

Apr 15th 2009 4:00AM We go to our local Mexican restaurant. The folks there, the wonderful, excellent, marvelous and well loved mexican folks there...are short. They're little. IT'S HOW THEY ARE. Stop being ridiculous, world. People is what people IS. DEAL with it.

Lousiana Senator David Vitter throws fit at the airport {Gadling}

Mar 12th 2009 3:19PM We're so frickin' proud. Luckily, I'm always looking for fodder for an annual comedy show we do about embarrassing Louisiana politics. Thanks, Dave. Keep up the stupid...we got a show to fill.

Are 'Fat Farms' Harming Young Girls in Africa? {Lemondrop}

Mar 4th 2009 9:19AM It's abusive for them to make those poor kids eat barf. This is why we are considered pompous in the US, for looking down on unevolved people doing ridiculous crap like this. I don't feel bad about looking down on it; it IS ridiculous, and it IS abusive. Just like honor killings, female castration, and the truckload of other weird, nutty, and abusive stuff semi-evolved folks get up to. That said, put in a dang McDonald's. Your preteens will be fat in no time.
