Dec 11th 2008 7:49AM I totally agree with Bruce. These homes should be put in some sort of Trust so that they cannot borrow money against them. I realize the family's threat of the father losing his job is a viable factor, however, if they have no income and cannot borrow any money, what have the parents been paying into Social Security for all these years? They could obtain Medicare for their son if they have no means of paying his medical expenses! Sadly, this has to be, in most of the EHM cases, a great amount of GREED! My family lived within their means.......we had never heard of welfare when I was growing up (a hundred years ago, LOL) and we did just fine without all the bells and whistles!!!
