Feb 28th 2013 6:09PM To Heather and lk...you have to be kidding me!!?? Totally unsupportive of the American flag? Most of the time when we purchase a home w/ a HOA, we are not aware of how bad and strict they are. Also, most of the nice housing communities have HOA's, so it is getting harder to avoid them. Yes, there are rules, but some of these rules, such as this one, are absurd and need to be challenged so as to get them changed.
I am still unable to understand how the American flag in someone's yard can lower the property value? That also seems ridiculous!
Things are getting so absurd in our country these days. It has gotten to where minorities rule things and cause rules to be made because a few people say they are offended. This is a democracy and the majority is supposed to control how things are done, but this isn't happening any more. It is a shame, for example, that we no longer have prayer in schools because a few people were offended, and this is so wrong on many levels.
If it has gotten to where a problem is created when someone wants to display the American flag in his yard, then we have reached a very sad time in this country.

Feb 5th 2013 7:53PM This isn't difficult at all. In the first place, she never put anyone in danger in the first place. People do not have any compassion these days and don't care about other people. This is a nice, 75 year old woman w/ nowhere else to go and no relatives or friends in Atlanta.
Plus, the landlord apparently is not following the law since you are supposed to give a person notice of the problem and give them time to correct it, which they didn't do. Besides, this lady has remedied the problem by having the stove disconnected completely.

Nov 24th 2011 6:53AM The airlines do not give a rip about their passengers anymore and haven't cared for some years now. They run over the passengers and do whatever they choose to these days. They could care less because they know we need to fly no matter...at least many of us do. Until we get thru to Congress, nothing will change. Congress will need to make some laws that the airlines must follow. Until then, we will continue to be screwed by them. Imagine, offering this guy $200 for standing 7 hours on a flight because they wanted to get one more passenger on the plane. They are supposed to require obese people to pay for 2 seats and not put someone in his other seat. I bet they did charge him for the 2 seats but still assigned this guy to the other seat he was charged for.

Aug 31st 2011 5:34PM First, Borracho is an idiot. I would have loved to have seen Oscar wipe his butt on the mat, even on coke.
As a recovering alcoholic and addict of 24 years, I am proud of him and he seems very sincere and as though he has gotten the program and is using the tools to stay sober. It will be the toughest battle of his life and I wish him only the best. If he continues to take it one day at a time, he will make it. He also needs to continue going to AA to maintain his program.

My only question is after all these years, is it a good idea to change the Colosseum from the way everyone is now used to seeing it? It would be interesting to see what it originally looked like.

Jan 6th 2011 2:40PM I am very impressed by Father Cutie. He appears very happy, serene and at peace with himself. As he says, the Catholic Church is so dysfuntional and ignores many rules being broken but then, as in the priest's case, go all out to denounce more minor issues.
I believe this priest has a lot to offer people and seems to love God as well as his family. I think he is an awesome person and I respect him very much.

Feb 18th 2010 12:47PM Give me a break! I don't necessarily agree w/ his actions, but he certainly has a right to wear what he wants to wear without being threatened or harassed. PETA is nothing but a bunch of lunatics carrying their cause way too far and infringing upon others rights to the point of interfering w/ their lives. I doubt seriously they would continue to do this if some group continued to harass them. People like this need to get a life and leave people alone. They can express their feelings without going to the extremes that they do.
