Jan 23rd 2011 7:21PM Grandson, 9, in public schools, he is a First Degree Tae Kwon Do Black Belt plus a Jr Instructor. He is not a show off, nor is he mouthing off to others - he is a noble and gentle guy. First week in school, you are asked to introduce yourself to others - he brings his Black Belt, a few award in competitions, plus photos. By lunch, everyone is his friend!
Last semester there was one kid who wanted to try him, kid was 11 years old and much bigger. My 'son' just pressed his right forarm in the right spot and the kid screamed! Son told me: I told him that I learned the art so I stopped from beating the heck out of him - I did it alone in the yard. No more problems!

Nov 3rd 2010 1:35PM Why? IRRESPONSIBLE people. Having babies without the means to feed them, clothe them, shelter them, etc. I call it "the Katrina Syndrome" - here I am, take vare of me, feed me, clothe me, give me money, shelter, good car, cell phone, etc.
I feel that if you work and can buy one - good for you! That IS the American way!

Oct 20th 2010 1:15PM On the smart remark about Alaska requirement to be a citizens and live there for a year..., it is rather simple: Benefits should go to CITIZENS and the 'live a year" - you must have a job or resources to live for a year without being a parasite of the State! That makes sense to me! Alaskans do not want the Welfare recipient, Section 8 occupant, free loaders, baby-making to collect $$$ , etc. They want working, honest independent citizens! I do not blame them at all!

Have son-in-law who has a Physics Master plus programming. He is also taking Contracting courses. He is in the Reserve, ARMY, and heading to Afghanistan! BTW: He spent two tours in Iraq and took part in the Fallujah party. He has a multi-engine pilot rating, Black belt in Tae Kwon Do and into scuba/sailing! Best part: He has a house in NW fla PAID FOR and he is only is 28 !!!
If he can do it..., why do we have so many screw ups and cry-babies???
