Nov 5th 2008 4:29AM Well, after an informative conversation last night with a staff friend of mine in one of Abu Dhabi's 5 star hotels. This particular one became a topic and he said that staff in this 7 star hotel are receiving service charge of a mere average of dhs 350/ month compared to theirs of 850dhs! Which is a disappointing fact knowing the price tags involved. Scrupulous patrons I think should consider that they splash their bucks to scrupulous establishments as well, who reward workers with just compensation for the elements they bring which I think counts the most - service. After all, the blue collars are the fuel of all their money making machines. So in my opinion on who footed the bill or at least a significant part of it? The workers. I just hope Blair is a nice tipper.
