Teresa Giudice Had 'No Idea' Her Sister-in-Law Was Joining 'Housewives' Cast {PopEater}
May 17th 2011 2:19PM These are scary, dangerous people. This show has turned into "The Bad Girls Club" for older women. These crazy people (Theresa, her husband, her brother, the brother's wife, etc.) all look like they belong on the Sopranos. If I had to guess I'd say that both Joe Giudice and Joe Gorga are both "made men" if you know what I mean.
Celebrity Beauty Looks of the Day: Gwyneth Paltrow, Melissa Leo and Rachel Bilson {Stylelist (Main)}
Apr 22nd 2011 6:44PM First of all, Melissa Leo is 50, not 65. Secondly, who says you have to get a short haircut just because you turn 50? If you like longer hair, wear it longer. There's no rule that you have to surrender your locks at 50.
A New Low Price For Le Reve, Georgia's Most Lavish Foreclosed Mansion {Luxist}
Mar 5th 2011 2:39AM Even if they were giving this house away for free, very few people could afford to take it. The property tax alone would be in the neighborhood of $20,000 a month, add to that the electricity bill of around $3000 a month and then the water bill (gotta keep the lawn watered or the grass will die) of $5000 a month, the landscaping bill (gotta keep mowing the lawn, weeding, trimming, etc.) of $2,000 a month, and last but certainly not least, the cleaning bill (no one could keep 47000 sq ft clean by themselves) of around $3000 a month, add in some ongoing maintenence and repairs that are inevitably going to pop up and you're looking at $400,000 a year -- and that's if you got the house for free!!

Kathleen Turner Sells Low in the Hamptons {Housingwatch}
Nov 30th 2010 1:19PM I think that's a little unfair to compare what she looks like now (at 56 years old) to what she looked like when she was a young starlet of 27 in Body Heat, for example. Unfortunately, when you get old and gain some weight your face doesn't look like it did when you were 27. You can't really say it was bad plastic surgery in this case. It could just be normal aging. She's probably just had some botox but she doesn't really look carved up to me. (By the way, William Hurt doesn't exactly look hot anymore either.)
Thinning Hair: What Causes It, Plus a New Line That Treats It {Stylelist (Main)}
Oct 7th 2010 3:19PM Have you tried Rogaine (minoxidil)? It's FDA approved to grow hair and has therefore been proven scientifically. All the other stuff is nothing but snake oil, in my opinion, as it is not a drug; it's just a cosmetic. Rogaine doesn't work for everyone, but it's definitely worth a 4 month trial. If you don't see any new growth after 4 months then you can quit because you probably won't be one of the 60% or so that it helps. Good luck to all. I am in my 3rd week of trying it so it's too early to tell if it's going to work.
BarkOff review: A dog of a product {WalletPop}
Sep 30th 2010 4:14PM Why do all of you say it was money down the drain when you can just return it and get a refund? It would only cost a couple of bucks to send it in a padded envelope and you'd at least get your ten bucks back.

Wear Wristwatch? Use Email? Not for Class of '14 {ParentDish}
Aug 18th 2010 2:52PM I'm with you on this geckofan2004. It drives me crazy to see how poorly people write these days. It's not just teens, either. I think it's pretty much all the generations younger than the baby boomers. That's when the new crop of teachers in the '70s started saying things like, "Spelling and grammar don't matter, as long as I understand the point you're trying to make." That was the beginning of the end. It's amazing that people who can't form a proper sentence are getting college degrees and even more distressing that they aren't even embarrassed that they don't know the difference between their, there and they're. They make you out to be the one with the problem for giving a sh*t about the slow degradation of our society.
