Babies and first class: why is this an issue? {Gadling}
Mar 13th 2012 9:40AM @ DH ~ I get what you are saying, however that's just life DH. Sometimes a parent has to travel by air for whatever reason and it just cannot be helped. Like a death in the family, or a wedding, or whatever. Like the author of this article said, the parent must do everything in their power to make sure they are doing everything they can for their child to make everyones flight more comfortable (my words). But sometimes things just don't run as smoothly as you imagined it would and your child starts to cry and disturbs others nearby. It happens. Me, personally - I honestly never had to take my daughter on a plane when she was a baby. Her first time flying was when she was 6 yrs old and she was an absolute angel (quiet) for the entire flight. But then again, she was old enough to know how to behave.
My biggest complaint with children on a plane is that of the young child sitting behind me who insists on kicking the back of my seat the entire time. Talk about frustrating! And worst part is the parent of that child thinks I am the rude one for asking them to please tell their child to stop kicking my seat. Sometimes ya' just can't win!
SkyMall Monday: Toilet Dog & Cat Water Bowl {Gadling}
Mar 13th 2012 7:31AM I love the SkyMall catalog!!! They always have the most unusual, cool stuff. Thank god I don't have a problem with my dogs wanting to drink from the toilet bowl, though. lol
Las Vegas' hotel supervisor tells all in Reddit Q & A {Gadling}
Feb 26th 2012 7:46AM What I think is really unfair is when you scrimp and save for a fantastic vacation that you have been looking forward to for a couple of years and finally can afford to take - only to make a reservation for a really nice room with a beautiful view and once you get there you are told that you can't have the nice room because lack of availability. That's bull. Why can't a guest reserve a certain kind of room with a wonderful view (who are willing to pay extra for it) and be told they can't guarantee that they can have it? Meanwhile, those rooms remain empty for reserve just in case someone with big bucks comes in and wants it. That's just not right.
7 Things That Drive Vets Crazy {Pawnation OLD}
Dec 18th 2011 6:40AM Excellent article Dr. Patty! Everything you said was WELL SAID! Pet owners get defensive because pets are like their children - it's practically the same thing as a pediatrician stating rules in their office about young children and their parents. We, as responsible parents and pet owners, must have respect - not only for the vet/doctor, but other patients around us in the waiting room as well.
SkyMall Monday: Leaf Rake Hands {Gadling}
Nov 29th 2011 9:18AM Hi Bill ~ I totally get Mike's humor in this article! But seriously, hand rakes actually can be of use for certain yard tasks. lol
SkyMall Monday: Leaf Rake Hands {Gadling}
Nov 29th 2011 9:14AM I LOVE Skymall stuff! lol
Actually, these hand (rake) scoopers look like they would work pretty well. I already have a pair of hand-rakes and I really can't use them anymore because you have to put your fingers through the band on the sides of them, thus, using your hand and fingers to "grab." My problem is that my fingers end up locking up on me in the open position - kind of like a cramp in your hand. What a pain! The design on the Skymall product is much better.
Oprah's Dream Interview: A Confessing O.J. Simpson {PopEater}
Jun 17th 2011 6:51AM Aquitted or not - doesn't matter. The bastard did it. However, Oprah will never get her wish for him to confess to her in an interview. Won't ever happen.
Is Jennifer Aniston the 'Other Woman' Now? {PopEater}
Jun 15th 2011 6:01AM He ended his 14 yr relationship. He didn't continue to live with his GF and sneak around with Jennifer. I see nothing wrong here. Sheesh, people are so judgemental.
Eating Your Way to a 'Super Summer': June Superfoods {That's Fit}
Jun 12th 2011 6:40AM Oh, I LOVE watermelon! But what I've found is that the bigger watermelons that we had when I was a kid (back in the 70's) the one's with all the black seeds in them, were far sweeter than the newer, smaller, watermelons that are now called "seedless" (yet have a TON of the small white seeds in them!) That's not to say that I don't think the seedless one's aren't sweet, because they are...just that I have found the one's with the black seeds in them to be sweeter. Problem is, I can't seem to find the good ol' big watermelons with the black seeds in them at the stores anymore! They're hard to find.
