Real first-person parkour to make Faith blush {Joystiq}

Apr 19th 2009 3:05AM So, you're just saying you need something more than running on walls? Greedy bastard.

What will enlighten you is this... find a corner and try to do that.

Research Shocker: Women Prefer Bentleys To Fords {Luxist}

Mar 25th 2009 2:32AM Ha, ha, ha. Shieldsbrown wins.
-Seriously, both sexes have in mainstream culture gotten more shallow. But, also in music for example other values like artistic success are flaunted and encouraged, so you can get sex appeal for being a great artist as well. Either way, face it, we all want someone who is a little above-it-all. It's more than primal, it's a little spiritual. Bentleys make you all tingly inside. Let us just never forget that the most important thing to look for is that, deep down inside that person is a truly good person.
-But, regarding the test alone: if it is the same man shown in both cars, then isn't the woman just saying she prefers the nicer car? You didn't say anything like 'in the Ford picture the guy is smiling and holding the puppy, but in the Bentley he is frowning and smoking a stogey. Even then, the women picked the Bentley man.' There is literally no reason why the women would have picked the man in the Fiesta based on this study.
-If I were a woman, my ideal man would be one who was both a good man and drove a Bentley. As I heard a hot stuck up lady once say when interviewed by a match company, "We all just want someone we're attracted to." And you know hot shallow women... love em or hate em, they're usually right.

Rumor: Advent Children Complete gets US release in June {Joystiq}

Mar 25th 2009 2:18AM It makes smart business sense to include a demo. Even if it is brief as hell, it will guarantee they sell endless copies.

Also, people voted down Jason, but I understand his sentiment. There were some real weak points to the plot in Advent Children. This will however look so good in HD that I don't think I'll even notice the plot. :-) Plus, the thirty extra minutes may help, I really want to see the other characters developed some more!

GDC09: If the BART's a rockin' ... {Joystiq}

Mar 24th 2009 5:55AM I prefer "shamelessly." ;-)

My competing product I'm advertising? I'm not selling anything! Though, I can make an herb pill for your problem and market it to you with abandon. The placebo effect is the way to cure everything! And it laboratory tests, it's proven to work!

By the way, you know what makes me want to ejaculate? That new Rolls Royce in development.

Mar 24th 2009 5:43AM Ha, a virgin megastore going out of business is not a sign of the economy having collapsed! That's like saying the burning in my highly-infected left foot was a sign of me getting shot in the head.

Move on folks, this economy just helped along a thing that was dying anyway.
Virgin needs to hurry up and get on making those space flights affordable!
I cans standz on moon tiem plz?

Crystal Cruises Wants To Help You Understand Your iPhone {Luxist}

Mar 24th 2009 5:28AM This comes across as an attempt conjured up for media coverage in the lifestyle section. Who exactly will these technology concierges appeal to? Someone who takes their personally-bought Blackberry on a cruise... I'm just going to assume they know the basics that these concierges could effectively cover.

This is just a weird idea. Take my cruise and I'll teach you better how to use that product you already own. I'm sure it could work for the less technologically literate crowd... but... hmm, maybe they aggressively try to sell tech gadgets on this cruise?

Tiffany & Co. Reports Grim 2008 Numbers {Luxist}

Mar 24th 2009 5:22AM Corporations can be stubborn, it can be a part of their corporate soul (see Jeffrey Lawrence's upcoming book--same guy who wrote "Reality Retail Management"). A key part of Tiffany's corporate soul is unbending pride. But in this economic environment, such is a poor character trait to feed into!

This is exactly *not* the time to launch new product, and it would be wiser to discreetly discount current product than release newer cheaper lines. Just the new marketing costs alone... :-S

Also, if you ask me, some of the newest Tiffany sterling items have been continuing a poor trend for the future of the brand image, especially if they really want to remain that unattainable. Bvlgari was stubborn like this too about discounting in an interview with their CEO just post-collapse. Seriously, they could launch an effort to offer fancy, personalized discount cards to previous customers or something to drum up short term business as they carefully diagnose their specific challenges.

GDC09: Rearden Studios introduces OnLive game service and 'microconsole' {Joystiq}

Mar 24th 2009 5:09AM Yeah, the jury will have to still be out on this one. We need to see *how* it works, and how they manage the process (are they consumer oriented?). As well as how well it works. Absolutely amazing if it does work.

And that latency "issue," well, that is a very serious one of the highest order. A game like Crysis wars would be unplayable if half the players had 250+ pings. Also, no second sales... we PC gamers are already getting so sadly used to such a sad concept.

Remember: give us something that's better than what we have and doesn't involve significant hassle and you have our wallets!

Square Enix stock drops to a five-year low {Joystiq}

Feb 7th 2009 2:57AM Did I say "Please."?

Please.

Square Enix stock drops to a five-year low {Joystiq}

Feb 7th 2009 2:53AM If I were a Square executive, this would be my formula for INSTANT RICHES:

1. Buy hundreds of thousands of shares.
2. Announce FF 7 Remake.
3. Sell shares.

Dear Sony, YOU ARE INSANE IF YOU DO NOT RELEASE A FF7 REMAKE!!!! DO YOU NOT LOVE MONEY!?!!?! DO YOU NOT WANT US TO BE HAPPY! ???

FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT IS HOLY I BEG OF YOU, HALF THE PEOPLE HERE BEG OF YOU, MAKE A Final Fantasy 7 REMAKE!!!!!!! PLEASE!!!!

Geese, even if you just say "If we get enough preorders we'll make it," you'd see. You'd have as many pre-orders as there are Wiis. Please. I beg of you. Please.
