Police Use Pepper Spray to Subdue 8-Year-Old at School {ParentDish}
Apr 6th 2011 5:07PM Mandy,
Why do you look to the police to change *their* behavior? Stop blaming the police and suggesting what *they* should do, and instead put the focus on where it belongs: your out-of-control violent son, and yourself, as his parent.
You're just another delusional, incompetent parent blaming everyone else except for yourself and demanding *other people* change and make concessions to accommodate *your* ill-behaved child.
The rude truth is you're his parent and your parenting skills are lacking, and your son got what he deserved. You need to take responsibility and stop using the police as a scapegoat.

Feb 9th 2011 5:17PM Gee, whoda thunk it? Well now, if minister's daughter and possibly bi eyeliner boy can't make it, who can?
Guess they forgot to carve their initials in the Sweetheart Tree, so the vows weren't really official...
Jean Smart Joins 'Hawaii Five-O' {AOL TV}
Mar 9th 2010 4:16PM I like Jean Smart, she's a favorite of mine going back to Designing Women, but I won't be watching the show. Nowadays, t.v. is a tool used for social conditioning, so updating this classic to a "modern" drama will undoubtedly mean the inclusion of political correctness and the advancement of social agendas/ideologies. And I'd bet that it will be darker and grittier, with more graphic violence, too.
I'll pass on that, and just stay with the DVD's of the original.
Was Frasier really better than Cheers? {AOL TV}
Jan 11th 2010 12:27PM Jana... you and I could be sitcom buddies!! lol I feel the same--endless love for Frasier and thoroughly hated Seinfeld (mostly indifferent to Cheers).
I watch so much of Frasier that I decided to invest in the DVD set, and I never tire of seeing the episodes. I still roll with laughter even knowing every word, look and gesture. To me, it always will be the gold standard of comedy--IMO nothing comes close to matching it.

KFC's Secret Blend of Herbs and Spices Cracked? {Slashfood}
Jul 21st 2009 10:35PM This is another yet another dog pile of manure. I imagine Ron Douglas is just trying to make a name for himself. If he had *really* cracked the "secret" recipe, then he would have discovered the following:
Excerpt from "The Truth Behind Secret Recipes in Coke, KFC, etc.": http://www.livescience.com/strangenews/090702-secret-recipies.html
In his book "Big Secrets," William Poundstone revealed a laboratory analysis of Kentucky Fried Chicken: "The sample of coating mix was found to contain four and only four ingredients: flour, salt, monosodium glutamate, and black pepper. There were no eleven herbs and spices — no herbs at all in fact... Nothing was found in the sample that couldn't be identified." So much for the "secret." In fact, the chicken's ingredient statement is available on KFC's Web site.

Jun 27th 2009 4:23PM John Gruberth and T. Wager: Thanks for your comments. I like it when facts are presented that put a story in a whole new perspective. It goes to prove the old adage "things are not always as they seem." Very interesting about the Silbersteins. Cheers!
8 Arrests Made in Michael Phelps 'Case' {Fanhouse Backporch}
Feb 11th 2009 2:52PM Nick: "Humans desire such substances"
............................................
Only weak ones. Strong, intelligent people don't need crutches to get through their days, and are intelligent enough to know how to entertain themselves without losing their senses.
If you need to depend upon drugs to cope in life or for entertainment, you're a spineless, weak-knee'd loser.
8 Arrests Made in Michael Phelps 'Case' {Fanhouse Backporch}
Feb 11th 2009 2:36PM All you people that are hollering and shouting that it's no big deal, let me ask you ask a question: Suppose you're driving down the street today and some drunk plows into the back of you. You're in bad shape and you need emergency medical treatment. You're rushed to the hospital, and you're going to need surgery. Here's my question: Would be it be okay if your surgeon, who's about to cut on you with a scapel, just did a few hits on a bong? How about if he was tripping on some 'cheese', or just snorted some coke or perhaps just threw back a few shots to "steady his nerves"? Would his drug use still then be "no big deal to you? Or, how about the anesthesiologist, would has to administer the drug cocktail, which includes drugs to literally paralyze you so you don't jerk about on the table -- would you still think it okay if he were stoned? Or how about the auto mechanic who's in charge of repairing your brakes - would it be okay with you if he just finished a toke? The answer I'm sure would be hell no, which makes all of you hypocrites. That's what's wrong with this country - people legitimizing things that are clearly wrong. Phelps proves you can be a winner professionally, but still have a loser mentality in life. Drugs are for losers. Period.
