Children were expected to take part in feeding the family. Whether it be tending the garden, working the fields, fishing, or hunting.
I love animals, am active in the SPCA, and have personally beat the Hell out of some Florida pinhead who was hitting his dog with a stick. I beat him senseless with the same stic. This is why (growing-up & hunting the North) I can tell you that besides providing fresh, healthy meat, if not for hunters, 1/2 the deer population would slowly starve over the course of a winter.

Having grown-up in L.B. and the Godson of Meyer Lansky, this set-up actually exists in the in the area where Long Beash becomes Lido Beach.
Also, the hospital sceens were filmed in the basement of the Lido Hotel, which became a high-end condo about 20 yrs ago.

Paul Hunt & his family would have bled-out long before LE arrives. The key is training and experience. A firearm is a tool. Like all other tools, an asset in knowledgeable hands, a danger if used incorrectly. Hunt's stats' are way off, the FBI will tell you that more violent felons' are stopped in the comission of a crime every year than law enforcement can ever match.
The last thing a criminal wants to deal with is a trained, armed citizen. Talk to a pro, not a big-mouth friend, find a firearm you are comfortable with, & get to the range every month. Take "real life" scenario classes from a recommended, experienced instructor, learn the drill, and start with the basics. Effective window locks, not only good door locks, but a door frame that will hild them closed, get rid of that cardboard interior entrance door on your bedroom & install an exterior metal door.
Personally, I keep an issue M590A1 12ga for the house, and when I go out or someone knocks at an "odd" hour, I have a tuned .45 1911 platform in my hand or an excellent quality Sullivan holster. End 'O story.

certainly appreciate this Daytona concept. I have my track Porsche
serviced by Dave White MotorSports in Tampa who prep a good number of
the Rolex race cars. These are mostly concepts also. It only makes
sense.
In addition, Rolex timepieces have changes very little in the past 30
years. The Sub has virtually been left unchanged since 1955, it's
about time....actually yes...it IS about time.
