First, Obama won over 69 million votes, McCain just under 60 million, which works out to approx 53% to 46% victory. Second, who cares how many empty square miles McCain won? Third, I think that the 53% of voters who voted for Obama would say that they were also taxpaying citizens, in fact 10 million more of them than McCain won.

Because they have nothing new to offer..wht is the definition of conservative? "disposed to preserve existing conditions, institutions, etc., or to restore traditional ones, and to limit change" One has to ask if those things are really worth keeping - what about slavery, miscegenation laws, prohibition, the Bush presidency... I don't think many people would argue that all these things needed to be changed. Anyone who listens to Beck, Cheney, et.al, are idiots.

Unlike Bush/Cheney/Rove with one scandal after another - remember Iraq, WMDs, Haliburton, Valerie Plame, I could go on for a very long time on how the Republican administration misled and, yes, lied, to the American public about many, many things. Not to mention got us in to the economic mess we are in curently by rewarding their wealthy buddies with tax cuts and more and more deregulation.. try watching something other than Fox and get a clue.
