Model is too fat, or pregnant.

'Sicko' Key Art and Photos: Exclusive First Look {Cinematical}

Jul 2nd 2007 5:41PM The politicions can't do it....they can't get the insurance business out of health care! Why should half our money for health care go to the insurance business, for Pete's sake. It should go to the doctors, nurses, hospitals, pharmaceutical industries, medical schools, preventative care, etc.
The insurance companies, which basically contribute nothing to health care, have a stranglehold on the politicians.

The Debriefing: If Vick's a Jerk, So Are Preakness Organizers {Fanhouse NFL Blog}

May 24th 2007 10:56AM The trouble with the KY Derby, Preakness and Belmost is that the horses are too young. The races stress their bodies, and especially their legs, too much,especially with inadequate time to recover between these races. They should be older before they are asked to do their utmost. They would have a longer racing career if allowed to mature another year or two. The really valuable ones can be retired for stud or foaling, rather than risk their lives with further racing.

Design of New U.S. Passport {Gadling}

Apr 21st 2007 10:38PM The picture of the Bald Eagle is terrible. When I look at that page, I see a chicken wearing a bandana!
The chicken head is actually the Eagle's beak.
It is not a dignified passport. Why all the time and money spent on the art work. Who looks at these passports, anyway, other than the border guards. It reminds me of the fancy checks that people use these days....the bank clerks must hate them.

Stardust's Revenge: Hundreds Flee as Dust Cloud Engulfs Crowd | Video {Vegas Popular Blog}

Mar 17th 2007 8:43PM Sounds pretty stupid to me. How about asbestos dust? And why at night...when, if something goes wrong (and it did) people can't see to escape.

Submit Your Question to Sam Donaldson {AOL Elections Blog}

Oct 19th 2006 9:03AM Dear Mr. Donaldson:

Why can't announcement of election results be prohibited until all the polls across the entire U.S. have closed? I feel early results influence the elections in the western states. I don't know what to do about the Hawaiian results...maybe have earlier hours for voting?

Little Luxuries for Dorms {Luxist}

Aug 21st 2006 10:13PM Most parents struggle to pay tuition and room and board. Parents: your kids DO NOT NEED most of this junk. Expensive stuff just is a temptation for theft.
Your kids need to learn to get along with a minimum of material luxuries at this stage in their lives. It frees up the mind!
College is not like high school. Time is the most valuable commodity.
I once met a rich young man with an awesome collection of stuff he traveled with: (He was an expert birder.) A battered quality telescope. ONE change of underwear. One toothbrush. One credit card. That's it. The model for traveling light.

Film Clips: Deep Thoughts on Snakes on a Plane {Cinematical}

Aug 16th 2006 10:23PM Snakes On A Bus........60 years ago I worked for a small museum in Dayton, Ohio. The director was a specialist in snakes, and often used to go to public schools to give talks about animals, including snakes. He would pop a snake in a cloth bag, tie the top of the bag into a knot, and hop onto a city bus to get to the school. Nobody even knew! They weren't poisonous, anyway. We let the kids handle them if they wanted to.
