Luxist Giveaway: Better in Blu Prize Pack From Redbox {Luxist}
Dec 16th 2010 7:36AM I have been impressed with how much I have enjoyed using RedBox. I was skeptical at first, but it complements NetFlix very well and is cheaper than OnDemand. This package would be awesome!
Rush Limbaugh's Gaudy NYC Penthouse for Sale at $13.95 Million [UPDATE] {Luxist}
Mar 3rd 2010 8:25AM I am not being "sensative" (or sensitive). I was merely pointing out that it is likely more than a coincidence that the word "gaudy" graced the headline of a Luxist post for the first time in connection with a polarizing conservative. Agree with his politics or not, it's simply the first time Luxist has stepped outside of its otherwise objective headlines. . .
If used from the GAWKER article, the author should have a little more creativity; if used for political motivations, the author is clearly the tacky individual.
Rush Limbaugh's Gaudy NYC Penthouse for Sale at $13.95 Million [UPDATE] {Luxist}
Mar 2nd 2010 7:52PM I don't care what your politics are, this is the first time I saw Luxist use the word "Gaudy", or any other typically negative adjective, in a headline to describe any other celebrity's house for sale.
I understand it's still a blog, but come on, feel free to call it gaudy in the article or in your circles - but don't be as tacky as you accuse the space of being.
There have been some gaudy spaces on Luxist, and this one is probably up there with them, but I don't think it's a mere coincidence that the first time the word appears is in connection with a conservative.

Rupert Murdoch staying out of the e-reader business, Red Eye sadly still on the air {Engadget}
Jul 10th 2009 12:22PM Mr. Flatley, who is the parent company of the company for whom you blog? AOL? The same AOL formerly joined at the shared brain as Time Warner? The same Time Warner who is parent to such channels as CNN?
So your motivation has nothing to do with Beck and/or Red Eye substantively. Just your need to feel like a bad ass bashing FNC, the network that recently recorded the top 10 cable news shows (including Beck). I understand that AOL-Time Warner is no more in reality, but apparently still exists in spirit. And that spirit is the spirit of pettiness and poor judgment.
Consumer groups reportedly asking for liability warning labels on used Chryslers {Autoblog}
Jul 8th 2009 11:49AM The warning is not because vehicles are inherently dangerous, it is because "new" Chrysler, like "new" GM has been afforded the luxury of shedding any and all prior products liability claims. It's not that cars are dangerous, it's that if you buy a car made by "old" Chysler and/or GM, you cannot bring a products liability suit - no matter how valid your claim may be. This means an individual purchaser/driver will be stuck with any resulting damages, perhaps with some help from insurance coverage.
National Motorists Association ranks states most hostile to drivers {Autoblog}
May 21st 2009 8:29PM Lived in Ohio most of my life, just moved from Columbus to Cincinnati last year. Now I drive from Cincinnati to Dayton on a daily basis (up and down I-75). I also make frequent trips up I-71 to Cleveland and back.
I have zero tickets on my record. I don't think I am lucky, you just have to pay attention to your surroundings. Look for the little white cars or tiny men on the shoulders.
Trump Speaks Out On Proposed Millionaires Tax {Luxist}
Apr 9th 2009 2:23PM shieldsbrown: funniest thing I've read all week, lol, thanks.
Conflating taxation with patriotism. How about we stop spending other people's money and money we don't have, at all levels.
