Bag Borrow or Steal Expands: Luxury for Rent {Luxist}

Oct 6th 2008 3:34PM Basically, making designer fashion more accessible for everyone is a great idea, but I wonder if I would ever consider renting a bag. It takes away the overall pleasure of dreaming, and saving for this one special bag, and having the satisfaction of finally purchasing it. The whole feel of "luxury" and the experience of it seems so diminished by renting a bag that has been used, and has to be returned after having fallen in love with it!

Kate Moss Loves Her $2.7 Million Gold Statue {Luxist}

Oct 6th 2008 3:26PM Though the pose is highly inappropriate, the facial expression is magnificent. It reminds me of the young Kate Moss, as we saw her in the Calvin Klein ads. Despite what she thinks, the statue does represent the Kate Moss we know!

La Prairie Launches $1,000 Moisturizer, Won't Advertise {Luxist}

Oct 4th 2008 1:22PM As far as I remember, La Prairie never did a lot of advertising so it does not surprise me. But in Europe they're very well known, and respected. Hence the strategy of word of mouth works has proven to work well over here. I find 1000k not even that shocking, have seen heftier price tags on lesser products.

Gucci's Pricey 'Crocodile Pelham Shopper,' Handbag of the Day {Luxist}

Oct 4th 2008 1:01PM Love the bag! But can't say that its price is reasonable. The crocodile may be divine, but there are so many brands on the market selling comparable exotic skin bags for more attractive prices. Gucci does use the best materials, still ensures true craftsmanship (this bags is probably made by one person, from beginning to end) and has original designs but can't get over its hefty price tag! Well, a person can only dream!

Nancy Gonzalez Crocodile Hobo, Handbag of the Day {Luxist}

Oct 4th 2008 12:19PM Breathtaking, stunning! Can't say I've ever seen a Nancy Gonzalez handbag that did not get me craving for it! The price is steep, but I think worth the investment for a bag that is as unique as this one. Love the color too!
