Dear NY Times, Here's Why I Haven't 'Grown Up.' Love, a 20-Something {Lemondrop}
Aug 19th 2010 8:51PM i can't believe how much nonsensical gibberish this broad wrote... she makes it seem that "churning" -- i'll assume that means trying to figure out what you want to do with your life -- is something new and unique to these so-called 20-nothings. listen, sugarbritches, you just gotta get out there and do some-effing-thing while you're trying to figure yourself / life out. life will eventually present something to your whiny, self-absorbed liking.

Flight Attendant Blows His Top, Yells at Passengers and Bolts Down Emergency Slide {AOL Travel News}
Aug 10th 2010 1:25PM we all have bad days but this type of behavior indicates this guy's a self-absorbed jackass. if you hate your job that much, act like an adult and find another job you like. have some class and personal dignity and resign from jet blue if the job's so terrible.
i could understand some anger directed at the person who bumped your little noggin (i would think this is a well-understood job hazard amonst flight attendants) but to cuss out the entire plane, steal a beer, deploy the emergency slide is more than an over-reaction and grossly unfair to all of the other pasengers and your co-workers.
lastly, deploying that emergency slide surely caused a cascade of delayed and/or cancelled flights while the airline had to reinstall the slide and have the FAA inspect it... what about all of the people affected by this? what about the costs' incurred by jet blue? all so this douchefag could cater to his fragile, wounded ego.
10 Worst Places to Live {WalletPop}
Aug 6th 2010 3:23PM it's a shame how we've all been conditioned that profiling is something bad when fighting crime, enforcing laws and controlling illegal immigration.
think about it: using statistical probability, let's say in trying to determine if a person or group of persons, may be in our country illegally... hmmm, what technique or method in determing who would be a likely offender, would be the most obvious and efficient tool for police?! any guesses? buehler? BUEHLER?! i know, maybe we should stop and question hispanic's since the flood of illegal immigrants is coming over the mexican border! VOILA, problem solved!
profiling works; it's used very successfully by countries all over the world, but here in the US it's been demonized by the ridiculousness of political correctness.
2011 Chevrolet Volt priced at $41,000* or $350/month for three-year lease {Autoblog}
Jul 27th 2010 3:17PM it's boring. priced way too high for a market that's in a never-ending recession. who mants to deal with driving range limitations and charging hassles? not me. and not you. and charging this monstrosity isn't free, genuises. wait until obama and congress drive up electricity/energy costs thru the stratosphere.
gm is as dumb as ever.
2011 Ford Explorer teasers continue with headlight peek {Autoblog}
Jul 14th 2010 3:22PM nothing appears to be interesting... still copying other automakers' cars, i see... the ford fusion started out in dearborn's studio as a clay of the passat. then stylist brad richards thought his "squircle" headlamp theme would fool everyone. sure, the fusions' a hot seller... thanks to VW styling. from what i'd witnessed, ford begins nearly all of its "new" designs by copying other automakers' styling... then add the ford cue's like the horizontal bar grilles, and voila, a "new" ford is born!
(squircle = square-circle)
Missy Elliott Catching Heat for Upcoming Concert in Israel {The Boombox}
Jul 14th 2010 12:34PM good point... post WWII divisions of the middle east had designated jordan for the so-called palestinian populations. in fact, jordan itself was to be named palestine but was rejected by king abdallah.

Jul 14th 2010 12:26PM civilian deaths in gaza can be directly attributed to the deliberate hamas practice of storing weapons caches and firing rockets (on isreali civilian targets) next to homes and schools.
the IDF went to great pains to notify gazan civilians of impending attacks by calling individual homes. this effort lost the IDF tactical advantage against hamas but they did it anyway. some IDF soldiers were killed due to policies designed to protect civilian casualties.
isrealis are caring and compassionate people but there are many who are sucked-in by anti-semitic propaganda and outright lies of the regions true history. missy elliot should be praised for her clear-thinking and courage for defying a perverted opinion of isreal.
