Apr 16th 2010 7:03PM I know Dr. Brodsky better as "Mom". I was in high school when this case began and I helped with some of the initial research. It's hard to put into words just how obvious and bad the discrimination she faced was. There were times when I wanted to scream because it seemed so unfair. Nobody deserves to be cheated -- especially for so long and by an entity that you should be able to trust (your employer).
Maybe the worst part is that she had to fight so long to restore justice in her case; or maybe it's that the fight has had long-term effects on her professional and personal life; or maybe it's that a damn good doctor had to waste precious time and energy focusing on something aside from patient care; or maybe it's that there are many people -- men and women both -- that still face crippling discrimination in the workplace.
