Mar 18th 2013 11:23AM I'm not a wimp and would love to live here but for only $200,000.This place is so pretty,like the other Kirkbride hospitals and so many have been torn down.:(Google closed mental hospitals in the US ),its a long sad list.I suppose its better that the mentally ill are treated with new better drugs and closer to home nowdays.

Mar 10th 2013 6:47PM I did not make a mistake AK,there other pics from Detroit and they fail to mention where and I recognize the school room as being from a once good HS.There is no mention of any of those pics of the slideshow and where.

Mar 10th 2013 1:08PM That first pix at the top of this article is a mistake.Its in the book by some guy on empty homes and buildings in Detroit.Clearly H P make a boo boo here using that pix of an old empty Presbyterian church downtown Detroit.A few of the other pics I also recognize from Detroit.You can find them on You Tube too.
