Anne Rice In Rancho Mirage, Estate of the Day {Luxist}

May 16th 2010 3:30AM Forget the Vampire stuff...PTL she gave up the depravity of her writings under the pen name Roquelaure. I had a college professor gift me her Sleeping Beauty series, I read it only because I kept telling myself what else could she fill the pages with....I now consider myself shockproof.

Guy Goes Bald, Creates Works of Art on His Dome {Asylum}

Mar 20th 2010 11:02AM He is one gorgeous man, regardless, and his artistic saavy make him sexy. My father is bald, and let me tell you guys....many a girlfriend of mine growing up had major crushes on him. The vast majority of women don't care if a man is folicaly challenged. It's about what radiates from within, and how he carries himself. Nothing is sexier on a man than self esteem.

Recall: Maclaren Pulls More Than 1 Million Strollers {ParentDish}

Nov 9th 2009 3:45PM OMG is all I can say, my son is now 20, but I remember an incident when my grandmother and aunt decided on a stroll in a quite expensive Italian pram, well aparently they had not latched it open correctly, it falterred and nearly closed in, folded almost in two....my aunt ran home whilst my grams stayed with Alex....all was well, he thought they were playing peek a boo when finally I retrieved him. but they never went near the pram again...moral of the story is, when in doubt, please read directions and check to see all is in its place.....and never, ever should children be left unnatended or guardians engaged in anything other than guarding their charge.

3 Days, $1500, One Dramatic Makeover {Shelterpop}

Oct 28th 2009 11:16AM I would have opted for addiitions such as a warm blue solid color drapery to all fullness to the window, perhaps in a raw silk to glam it up, periwinkle blue comes to mind...along with pillows for the sofa in the same fabric and an area rug to cement the area in a neutral tone, so as not to serve as a distraction. A wall mirror above the sofa would add light and depth and I"d get rid of the entertainment center and mount the TV on the wall. Use the existing etegere as an entertainment console...this frees up the space by the window and I'd use it as a bar ...just some nice goblets on a chrome and glass tray and the usual bar stuff kept to a minumum. A nice chair with a small table and a lamp to scale for reading would fit comfortably in that area now that the etagere has beem moved to the other side of the TV. It is such a small place that one could put two small glass side tables as a cocktail table...they would make the room look bigger...glass and mirrors trick the eye.....just constructive criticism....it was terribly sweet of her to attempt a makeover. Pardon my typos, they seem to follow wherever I type...lol

Former Female Staffer Alleges Sexism at 'Letterman' Office {PopEater}

Oct 27th 2009 8:32PM I, for one will not be watching Mr. Letterman. I also will be boycotting his sponsors. ESPN did the right thing, by firing their staff.
The old boy mentality is prevalent and it's about time it was talked openly about. Harrasment in any form is abuse of power and should not be tollerated. For shame.
