Dec 7th 2011 10:46AM I think this is really sad. I have to side with the home owner. Maybe they forgot or maybe the economy has been so bad that they decided to feed their family instead of paying the fee. I don't know their situation so I really can't say. All I know is that it is really close to Christmas and losing your entire home and everything in it is devastating beyond belief. I could not have imagined watching my house go up in flames while watching the firemen sit there looking at it. I think that they should have put what they could out to try to save anything that they could and then sent them a bill for $75, even with a payment plan attached. I mean, that just seems more reasonable to me. But to just sit there and not put out a fire because of $75 is pretty horrible, especially at this time of year. I don't know how they sleep at night in their warm beds in their home, knowing they neglected to help someone's burning home. I live outside the city limits and we do not pay a fee to have the fire department respond, but if they have to respond they usually send a bill for how ever big the fire was or how long it took them to put it out. It can range from $20 to $100, but the point is they are going to put out a fire because that is what firemen do, they are not going to stand by and watch a home burn. I think this town needs to rethink this policy BIG TIME!

Jun 21st 2011 10:53PM Anyone on here that says spanking a child turns them into a criminal has lost their mind. You are the reason kids are they way they are. Spanking a child and explaining why they are being spanked is perfectly healthy. It should be very controlled. Not beating or hitting because you are angry, but very controlled. Doing it that way will not turn a child into a criminal. That is just plain stupid.

Parents can't discipline theit children the way they see fit anymore and scoiety is reaping the consequences. I gave birth to my child and no one is going to tell me how to discipline my children. There is a difference between abuse and a spanking. Popping kids on the butt is NOT abuse. Some kids only respond to spankings because they are not wired to respond to yelling or grounding or a talking to. Anyone wonder what is wrong with teens and young adults today and why the world is going to crap? Well here it is! Children are no longer being disciplined because parents are scared to be locked up or have been fed some stupid crap about how it messes up the kid mentally, and our world is suffering. Kids are becoming more lazy and bratty and have no morals, values, or work ethics. They don't care what their parents think and they do what they want. Judges like this are creating future convicts. HELLO!!!! Years ago kids were spanked and those kids grew up to be respectful and hard workers. They are the ones working their butts off to keep America going while the younger generation is looking for a hand out. Why? Parents don't even have control over how they discipline their kids anymore. WOW AMERICA, WOW! WHAT IS GOING ON!

She is still a child, and it is not like the guy is twenty something he is freakin' 51!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My sister is 16 and this story makes me sick to my stomach. Obviously the 16 year old girl has issues too. What sixteen year old marries a 51 year old man. What is wrong with people?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This guy should be arrested in my opinion. Jun 14th 2011 3:27PM These people lost a child. Do you have children? I hope not! How could you be so horrible. Losing a child is the most horrible experience anyone could have. If you have children and lost one this way would you sue? Besides, it doesn't say they are suing the park, it says they are trying to get safety regulations past.

Jun 14th 2011 3:19PM I think that is was insensitive for the owner to state that putting restraints on the ride is not necessary. Obviously it is necessary or people would not be falling to their deaths. They might not have never had it happen but they have now, and other parks have had it happen along with other ride accidents. You take a risk everytime you get on an amusement park ride. Just like you take a risk getting in your car. I do agreet that a ride that goes so high should have some form of saftey belt or bar. It is a good idea and it should be required of every ferris wheel. Anything to help avoid the death of another precious life. Putting two in a cart might help the balance issue, but if someone would have been with her they could have fallen as well. Saftey belts are a good idea.

Feb 9th 2011 12:39PM The Anthem has lost all meaning?!!!! Who wrote this crap! This makes me sooooooo mad!!!!! The National Anthem has not lost meaning. It is idiots like this guy, who is probably liberal, that try to crush what America is all about. The reason it has war lyrics in it, is because duuuuuh...millions of men and women have died to keep this nation free. They are the reason we have all of the privelages and all of the sporting events and the fact that he can even write this crap is because of what they did. The National Anthem is a song to remember those who laid down their lives and those who are fighting today. It is a symbol of our freedom and it is to honor those who serve. I am so sick of idiots trying to take away our freedoms. If you don't like the National Anthem move to Iraq. I am sure they would love to hang an American right next to the burning American flag!

Jan 27th 2011 12:41PM I think it is great that they put a sensor over it and they should put a sensor over almost all of the magazine covers. Most of them have half naked women on them and have inappropriate cover writing like cosmo. I don't need my children or my teens seeing it at the grocery store. They are already exposed enough. A gay family is offensive to some people. I personally think it is sick.
