May 27th 2011 12:19PM Well, this girl's strong Geordie accent would be strange to Americans; a deep one confuses many British people. That said, the screaming hyena laugh of Mary Murphy on YTYCD is only equalled by the Midlands accent of the British woman who hosts it. These shows would be better if those selected to appear were not loud mouthed, imprecise or plain weird. No doubt Cowell would prefer the whine of Ms.Osbourne; the insidious mewl of suburban London has destroyed the English language and its regional dialects in many parts so it is good to see Cole keep her regional twang.

Today's airline travel is scary enough; the mere act of parading to get on one of these flying Petrie dishes is a bad experience. Delays caused by hoaxes are not what the traveling public appreciate.

I can recall the time when these snooty establishments would barf at the very thought of selling an automobile; now they would kill for the opportunity. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder but this is an ugly little Maserati. And somebody else's racing glory is not worth 2 million bucks.

'Batman' Star Michael Gough Dead at 94 {PopEater}
Mar 17th 2011 3:17PM I recall this fine British actor from his early days when he appeared in many British made movies and on various TV shows. He gave so much pleasure for so long; RIP Mr. Gough.
