As such it is made a little differently than your run of the mill fashionable leather piece. In the event of a fall off a motorcycle, the jacket is made to hold up and take the abrasion (instead of your skin) while you are grinding along the asphalt at 65 MPH.

That being said, there are quite a few other manufacturers that produce quality leather gear for far less money - and look quite a bit better.
