Apr 4th 2010 10:32PM I can't agree with you more Jim, I used to help my uncle in Washington state in the 50s. he was a retired loggerfrom the 20s He had a 26 model T converted into a hay truck, and I would help fork the hay into it for the 2 cows he had one Jersey and one Gurnsey, two of the best for butter fat content. He had 12 cats that would line up for the foam that came off the milk when hand churned. We would have lunch at 12 o clock and then lay down in the back yard for a short nap every day the same. I would slip up into the black cherry tree and fill my belly , what a grand desert that was, also there was no problem with worms as there is today. I am haeding toward 70 now, but would not trade my life time to this point for any other. those of you from the 60s on don't know what you missed really.
