Concorde Jet Undergoing $22 Million Recommission {Luxist}
Jun 5th 2010 6:04PM Just for the record, during the 70's (?) Boeing did have the SST (Super Sonic Transport) project going. Its plane resembled the Concorde in many ways but didn't get off the drawing board - costs I think. The technology was pretty solid, but Boeing has to make money. French and British manufacturers (and airlines) were tied together governmentally way back then, and still are with the Airbus.

How We'll Prevent Costly Mistakes at the Pump {Translogic}
May 18th 2010 5:01PM Please - please - please don't dumb down driving a vehicle any more with electronic gizmos! Where I come from (Colorado) the gas and diesel pumps are already color coded (black or blue for gas, green for diesel) Most of the mixups come from the occasional oops of the supply truck, pumping the wrong fuel into the storage tank at the station.
In trying to prevent mistakes (like ABS which I hate!) driving is becoming so easy that texting while driving is rampant!
He to tries to make something fool proof underestimates the ingenuity of fools.
Miracle On The Hudson Plane Up For Sale {Luxist}
Jan 26th 2010 1:37PM Mike,
What can I say, you're a sad individual to say those things. As I recall the early stories on this incident, the PIC made a judgement call to put the plane in the water rather than risk crashing into a heavily populated area around the airport. They have run this in the simulater many times since the successful landing on the Hudson, all with top-notch pilots. Not one has been able to duplicate the
landing - I think that says it all.

Mar 1st 2009 9:27PM Warren Buffet is a man who has character. We all make mistakes, even those of you who dis everyone else. Buffet admits his and takes responsibility. Some of you need to learn from him.
We need more of him. Not because he's rich, but because he's transparent.
Go Warren!

Bill O'Reilly Is Most Loved and Most Loathed {Asylum}
Nov 17th 2008 8:12PM Folks,
Paul Harvey has "News and Comment" Hannity and Colms have well, Hannity and Colms - Bill O'Reilly has "The No Spin Zone". These shows are COMMENTARY- not news shows. I haven't seen a real news show on television in years. These folks at least label what they are doing, and do it well. Doesn't mean you have to agree with them - and they advertise that fact! What I hate is the bias in supposed hard news shows. You think your getting hard news and yet there's a bias to the story...that's bad journalism. If you want balanced commentary I think H and C do a right good job of disagreeing while keeping to the subject.
It's COMMENTARY folks, COMMENTARY.
Grow up!
