Oct 31st 2008 10:43AM McDonalds' was never a favorite fast food restaurant for my family, as we were all coming up as children. I am in my mid-forties and rarely took my own children there. All they ever care about was the "toy" that came with the Happy Meal, which parents pay roughly fifty cents for.
As a young child, every year on our family summer vacation, we would see the "Golden Arches" and beg to go there. After going twice, we never begged again. It was a novelty for us, who at that time had no McDonald' in our city, till around 1973. By that time, we could really have cared less.
McDonald' and others are using less product and charging higher prices. From can goods at supermarket's to ice cream, they have cut back on portion and raised the prices. Next time you go to your local supermarket, look at the size can's of soups, tuna, and alike, then notice what once was a half gallon of Breyer's Ice Cream is no long that. These are only a small example of what I am trying to convey.

Oct 12th 2008 9:06PM Madonna became famous...Why? I never understood it. She was vulgar, obscene and yet so many supported her. She did whatever it took to get noticed. She used religion to obtain notoriety. She thinks whatever country she resides she must not only speak the language, but use a fake accent. Look at her face, she looks so strange. And her arms look as though they belong to a woman in her 80's. I never felt she was a good singer nor actress. She would be well advised to stay home and get real for a change.
