Sherri, if you were half the woman you try to convince yourself and other people you are, you wouldn't "NEED" a man in your world. And as for your teary eyed comment about the molesting minister, your son does not need a "man" to teach him about life. Again, take a page from Whoopie, she was raised by a wonderful single mother.
She raised Whoopi alone to become one of only a handful of people that can lay claim to having won An Oscar, Tony, Emmy, Grammy and I forget the 5th one! Not to mention now producing on Broadway.

Just because you lead a horse to water, and they like drinking it for awhile, that does not mean they will continue what you have taught them, when they are off on their own again.
Sadly, I am sure Dr. Drew has "lost" alot more than 2 patients. But, considering how many people he has helped turn their lives around and get back on track, he's batting 1000+ in my book.
Saving just one person makes him a hero to me. The ones who loose their fight against their addictions, I can only be sad they could not win the battle, but no one is to "blame".

Jun 7th 2011 4:27PM There does seem to be a strange definition of the word "celebrity" nowdays. Reality TV has made every day people "celebrities's"
But, in defense of Dr. Drew, I think he is a wonderful person to be so caring to devote his lifes' work to helping people who are in trouble with addiction. And to bring these people into our livings rooms to hep us understand the causes of their addictions, how these people have gotten to where they are at this point in time and what it takes for the to deal with their deamons.
Every person and espicailly parents should watch every minute of the show. You may "see" someone you know on there, and not realize it.

All the little guys down here that just wanted to make a few extra bucks and clean out the basement are not worth their time anymore. They got what they wanted from us, a "NAME" in the news. The payback and thanks for it? Rip-off every dime they could on listing fees, delayed listing fees, extra fees for more pictures, higher fees for items listed in higher grossing catagories. And then they buyout PayPal and FORCE you to use only their system of payment.
Back in the day those were call "Monopoly's" and the government shut them down...well I guess we know where some of those fees are going now, don't we? For the right price in the hand of the right person, you can get anything you want in this country.
Just look up the history of the George Bush family fortune, the right money in the right hands bought them not 1, but 2 trips to 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.! Heck, the Kennedy money only bought one visit to the Oval Office.

I am sorry your opinion is being disregarded and judged by a bunch of self-important English teachers that are all obviously over the age of 50. Otherwise they would realize that schools today push students to understand the subject rather than tear the response apart for spelling, grammar and punctuation.
You made a good point in expressing your opinion. Just remember people will disagree with your opinion, but they can never tell you that your opinion is WRONG!
Also, I am sure these are the same people who pushed the computers down your throat and insisted that was the world of the future, not realizing all those computers contained "spell-check". And who needs to know spelling, grammar or punctuation when it can all be fixed with the click of a mouse.
