Oct 23rd 2010 9:56AM I think they weren't included because the article is only citing remakes of TV series (there've been many good remakes of film titles--Waterloo Bridge, Madame X, and Imitation of Life immediately come immediately to mind). And I actually liked (more than the original, in fact) the remake of The Thomas Crown Affair more than the original, as did a number of reviewers who, like me, were old enough to compare the two.

Oct 23rd 2010 9:46AM Hey, I grew up on The Fugitive (and haven't bought it on DVD because I read they'd screwed up the music) and really liked the movie. However, I wasn't even aware of the fact that they'd tried to resurrect the series and as to the other titles mentioned, well...things unbroken are better left unfixed, although I never liked Get Smart. And tampering with Patrick McGoohan's masterpiece resulted in the equivalent of painting a mustache on the Mona Lisa--that unoriginal Gen X and Gen Y-ers get untold millions of dollars to perform these abortions is obscene.
