Bake-Off! 'Ace of Cakes' vs. 'Cake Boss' {Inside TV Blog}
Nov 20th 2009 9:04AM I got turned off by the Ace of Cakes folks after I realized that their hygiene was horrible. They'll sneeze, run their fingers through their greasy hair, and not go wash their hands and go right back to decorating a cake instead. GROSS! Plus it's true that so much of what they do is just decorating fiberboard or plywood or styrofoam, not a real cake. And honestly there's no way I'd ever want to eat a cake these filthy-looking slackers cooked. So I'll take the Cake Boss and his crazy screaming family over the slacker bunch any day. At least they look like they bathe on a regular basis.
First Review of Dan Patrick Radio Show: Thumbs Down {Fanhouse NFL Blog}
Oct 2nd 2007 9:43AM It was pretty bad. I had hopes because his ESPN Radio show was pretty good. My guess is that he'll be back with ESPN or go back to TV full-time in a year when the clause in his old ESPN contract runs out and he can return to TV again, probably with Olbermann at NBC Sports. Although as bad as Olbermann is on the NFL show on NBC, it's doubtful if Olbermann makes it for another year to wait for Patrick. Jesus someone needs to fire him now and put the audience out of our mutual misery.
On NBC Halftime Show, Keith Olbermann Retracts Michael Vick Commentary {Fanhouse NFL Blog}
Sep 7th 2007 9:32AM The best part was seeing Cris Collingsworth slap the giant ego that is Keith Olbermann. He asked him if he'd be apologizing for his commentaries every week from now on.
Fearless prediction: Olbermann won't make it to a Season 2 with the NFL. The fans hate him, his co-workers hate him, and his act (and it's such an act) ain't going to cut it on primetime.
Sea Cliff Clutter, Estate of the Day {Luxist}
Sep 1st 2007 7:12PM Oh my. I just thought it was going to be the regular wallpaper border fiasco but that sunflower. . . . travesty is frightening.
Hummingbird Nest Ranch, Estate of the Day {Luxist}
Aug 13th 2007 10:14PM It's a lot less tacky than their Bev Hills manse. I couldn't help noticing how green everything was on the ranch and how brown everythign was around it. you're right, I don't even want to know what the water bill would be on a place like this.
And does anyone actually see any actual horses in any of those stables?
Garth Brooks Reportedly Coming Out of Retirement {PopEater}
Aug 5th 2007 7:21PM I think he's a huge (and I mean that literally), untalented hack who was better at self-promotion than he was at music, which is why he "retired". He should stay retired. I guess the $$$ must be running-short.
White House in Crisis {News Bloggers}
Jul 31st 2007 12:44PM A better question might be to ask why the Democrats approval ratings are even lower. I voted to return them to power so they could throw the Bush bastards out. And what have they done? Absolutely nothing. No wonder the approval ratings for the Democratic congress & senate are so low-all talk, no action. I'm so disgusted by both political parties that I probably won't even vote in the upocming presidential elections for the first time in my adult life. There has GOT to be a better alternative than these idiots.
Bill O'Reilly Goes Nuts One More Time {News Bloggers}
Jul 31st 2007 12:41PM Wow-really biased comments there all around don't you think? Do you really think he's any different than a Keith Olbermann? They are the same, just opposite sides of the political extremes. Neither of them are real journalists. Just a'holes with opinions. And as someone who is a blogger at Kos, I have to agree with Bill that sometimes the rancor there is over the top and totally out of line and uncalled for, just as the rancor probably is at a site like the Republican equivalent, Free Republic. The bitterness and hatred and anger has to stop some day doesn't it? But biased posts like one made by the AOL "newsblogger" aren't a good start to one day bringing back civility to the political discourse in this country.
MSNBC Goes Too Far With Vitter Graphic? {News Bloggers}
Jul 23rd 2007 9:36AM This isn't the first time that Countdown and Keith Olbermann has had snarky, sexist, rude things to say about women. I stopped watching the show because of the constant barrage of sexist statements made by its host. I don't care if he does hate George Bush and company, it doesn't give him a free pass to insult women on a near nightly basis.
Report: ESPN Offered Dan Patrick's Radio Show to Keith Olbermann {Fanhouse NFL Blog}
Jul 15th 2007 10:55AM Olbermann is a dumbass when it comes to any other sport besides Baseball. He's also got to be the most egotistical person who ever worked in Sports and that's really saying something. His holier-than-thou attitude turns off more viewers than it wins over. Perhaps that's why his little cable "news" show (really one giant opinion fest) is so lowly rated. Dan Patrick was the ONLY reason that Olbermann was able to hang on at SportsCenter and the idea they offered him Patrick's radio show says more about the desperation at ESPN these days than it does about the "talents" of Keith Olbermann. I still can't believe NBC was stupid enough to add him to their NFL coverage for the upcoming season. I give him 3 weeks before he makes a complete ass or fool of himself and they through him under the bus.
