Aging bodies are moving through stages of decay, if you will, and this accounts for the disability so many elders experience. But everyone sees things from where they live - UNLESS they take the initiative to study and learn that your capacity will diminish as you age. What our elders DO embody is KNOWLEDGE and the young need this to survive, no differently than the elders do. The difference is who has it. It is the reason we must respect our elders. They don't 'owe us' anything. No one 'has it coming'. You earn it through respect. I first entered the survival movement as it was called in 1980 as a thirty-something in pretty good physical shape. All that has changed. The issue of survival is working together with usable information.

May 30th 2010 10:03AM Seems like I remember a little press in 1981, when I went 'media' with my concerns in Farmington, N.M. ... Glad to see more people waking up to survival awareness. Odd isn't it that this is news when the Mormons have had it as a part of their doctrine and practice for more than a century.
