The Classicist: Four Seasons + Hermes = The
Ultimate Rolls-Royce
{Luxist}

Nov 3rd 2008 7:14PM The George V may be the best hotel in the world, but this is another example of the FS lagging behind. They have just now received one Phantom, while the Peninsula Hong Kong has had no less than a full fleet of 14 extended-wheelbase Phantoms since 2006. And no useless starlight headliners in those: just two 12" LCDs, DVD player, Lexicon audio system, MP3 connectivity, telephone, and coolbox. They even rearranged all the rear controls to make it more ergonomic. I've had the pleasure of two 20 minute airport transfers in a Pen Phantom, and it's great.

Now the George V just needs 13 more Phantoms...

Jul 22nd 2008 3:21PM i love the little boxes of hermes soap in the powder room, probably jacked from a hotel somewhere (i did the same thing).

it's not bad, but i'm not really a fan. there's no design flow. it's traditional and mod, and lots of things in between.

and apparently they love james bond as much as kelsey grammer (check the plasma screen in both places).

Mar 13th 2008 4:43PM Now THIS, this is more like it. This is an estate of the day. I think I just saw this in Architectural Digest too. This a beautiful estate from top to bottom. Miss Woollard: more of this please!

Kelowna, Estate of the Day {Luxist}

Mar 10th 2008 7:03PM Really? I was going to say this home looks like it's stuck in the 90s, and not in a fun, retro way but in a staid, boring way. It's 2008 and it could use one helluva makeover.

CitySpire Duplex, Estate of the Day {Luxist}

Jul 20th 2007 5:06PM Well, I can see this place being a great home for a family with several children. It's convenient to the park, has a great terrace for children to play and for entertaining, and isn't a museum apartment that kids can't go running through. Plus, it has no dedicated study/office (other than the "library") and at least one bedroom might be a guest suite. I can see a hedgie looking to start a family might like this place.

Or you know, like you said, someone looking to gut it.

1580 Masonic, Estate Of The Day {Luxist}

Jul 20th 2007 4:05PM Let me clarify: I submitted this house and SocketSite, but I have nothing to do with SocketSite at all. I just like reading Luxist.

Jet Airways Offers Private Mini Cabins {Luxist}

Apr 26th 2007 5:43PM Its not a completely closed off cabin - the top is open, just like the Emirates "cabins" - so if you want to join the club, you'll have to be quiet.
