Obama Breaks Reagan/Bush 'Jacket in the Oval Office' Rule {Politics Daily}

Jan 22nd 2009 1:30PM My business is suffering and I could be one of the unfortunate people to lose my home this year BUT we're all upset because President Obama took off his jacket in HIS office while he was working. WOW! aren't there bigger issues to worry about than if a Pres is wearing a freakin' jacket in the oval office? It's a new generation, folks! Remember when it was disrespectful to not be dressed properly for church, dinner, etc.! We've all gotten over that...I think we can get over this.

Dirk Kempthorne Leaves Behind A Lovely Bathroom At Interior Department {Politics Daily}

Jan 6th 2009 9:32AM What in the heck could you possibly spend 235,000 for in bathroom? I can't even imagine a gold plated toilet costing that much. He must be using $100 bills as toilet paper and Kleenex...that's my only guess!!

Target pushes aggressive price cuts {WalletPop}

Nov 19th 2008 10:29AM All of the stores are like that. You can order something cheaper online at Wal-Mart than you can buy for in a store. And the store 5 miles away could have it at an even different price than the first options. Yeah, it sucks, but they're right...it's just not with Target. It's with a lot of them.

Target pushes aggressive price cuts {WalletPop}

Nov 19th 2008 10:19AM "HELPING PEOPLE SAVE MONEY?" Back in the day, Wal-Mart was proud of the fact that they sold ONLY American made products. That was when I shopped there. Everyone, both shoppers and employees were happier. BUT, Wal-Mart insisted on larger quanitites and lower prices from their vendors which lead to many manufacturers being closed, sold out, or shipped over seas so our "American Friendly" Wal-Mart could STILL sell at everyday low prices. NOW, with all of the above people out of money because they lost their jobs because of this, they have no choice but to feed the mouth that bit them!!! It's one ugly vicious circle. So where would we all be without Wal-Mart...we would be much better because people would still have jobs.

Nov 19th 2008 9:57AM To "Uninformed" Sandy: I am interested in seeing where it says Target is "French owned" because it is not nor ever has been.

Snopes:
The Target Corporation is a publicly held, U.S.-based firm which has been headquartered in Minneapolis, Minnesota, since it began as the Dayton Dry Goods Company in 1902. Target is not now nor has it ever been, foreign-owned. (A French-based financial institution, AXA holds about 42 million hsares of Target stock, but that holding constitutes less than 5% ov Target Corporations outstanding shares.

Truth or Fiction:
Regarding Target's ownership, the company is on record as a U.S. firm based in Minneapolis, Minnesota and always has been. There is no foreign ownership in its past or present that we've been able to find or been presented with evidence about.
