Woman Falls Asleep On Flight To Paris, Wakes Up In Pakistan {Gadling}
Aug 25th 2012 9:02AM I read all the comments above and think they all have merit! How does anyone sleep 18 hours on an airplane, doesn't have to use the bathroom, takeoffs and landings, passengers boarding and disembarking (no noise there, huh!!??) and the list goes on! And, BKBLUE is right! The airline did NOT have to fly her free back to Paris! It was this woman's responsibility to be awake when she arrived in Paris, not the airlines!
Banks' Paperwork Foul-Up Cost Atlanta Woman Her Home {AOL Real Estate}

Jail Time for Phoenix Man Who Hosted Bible Study at His Home {AOL Real Estate}
Jul 8th 2012 4:01PM Salman then decided to construct a 2,000-square-foot building in his backyard and move the gatherings there. He said that he applied for and was granted the appropriate permits for the building.
Hill, however, said that the permits Salman received were for converting his garage into a game room.
Ok, I'm confused. I copied/pasted the above. He applied for, and received, permits to build a 2000 sq ft building in his backyard for his Bible-study group. And then another person, Hill, says, "No, his permits were for converting his garage into a game room." Didn't the people issueing the permits read what he was applying for? And, aren't we here in the United States able to freely worship and study our Bibles where and as we see fit? Mr. Salman is correct when he states if he were holding a Super Bowl party or any other kind of party, no one would care. That's true. I've been to huge parties (100+) and police were never called. I can't imagine a Bible study group getting out of hand and making as much noise as a party!
The Pit Crew With Love-A-Bull - Changing People's Perceptions One 'Pittie' at a Time {Pawnation OLD}
Sep 11th 2011 5:20AM Lablover, the same thing goes for a pit bull! If you raise them with love, that's how they will respond. I have owned several pits and NONE of them were vicious dogs.
Restaurant Bans Young Children {AOL Small Business}
Jul 13th 2011 2:44PM Hooray for this man having the guts to stand up and make such an announcement! I, too, am tired of going out to eat in a restaurant, and having my quiet meal interrupted by a crying, yelling, or screaming child. I don't blame the child, as much as I do the parents. I don't know of any young child that can sit there, usually playing with their own food, and allow Mom and Dad, not to mention the other paying adult customers, enjoy their meal. If you must take a young child/children out with you, Chuck E Cheese, if you're lucky enough to have one, is the absolute perfect place for kids! They can yell, scream and have all the fun their little hearts can stand, and Mom and Dad can let them play knowing the kids are having fun and are safe.
Arizona High School to Charge Students $25 to Graduate {Just So You Know}
Jul 13th 2011 1:34PM That is very true, Bill. I do seem to remember when I graduated from college for both my degrees, we did pay a small amount towards the rental of the gowns and to pay for our caps. I do apologize for my thoughts. I truly did not think things through or remember my own ceremonies.
Iowa School Principal Delivers Birthday Spankings to Students {ParentDish}
May 28th 2011 8:17AM A 7-year old that suffers from "post-traumatic stress disorder"! What in the world does this 7-year old have to be stressed out about? I'm not saying this "whammie" is ok by any means, and this principle and I would be having a sit-down talk-to over the incident, and it would never happen to any child I had in the school again.
Arizona High School to Charge Students $25 to Graduate {Just So You Know}
May 28th 2011 8:00AM This is just wrong! I always felt that high school graduation is a reward to the students who stuck out 4 years in high school, studied hard, and kept up their GPA. Now, I'm finding out this Arizona high school decided to charge the graduating students $25 apiece to "help" pay for the privilege of what they have rightfully earned. And, if all the students/parents paid the fee, the school would realize approx. $10,000 towards the cost of the ceremony! What a way for a student to remember his/her final year of high school.
State Laws Punishing Parents for the Sins of the Children {ParentDish}
May 23rd 2011 7:09PM I truly do not believe the teachers should take all the blame for a child's bad grades. The teacher is NOT with this child 24/7, is NOT there to make him/her do their homework at night, and is NOT with them on the weekend. Buckle up parents! Your child's education is YOUR job too! Make your child do their homework before going outside to play or playing video games, or whatever other activities the child wants to do. Homework can, and must, come first!!
