Nov 23rd 2010 12:03PM Moved to Florida 9 yrs. ago after high school sweetheart coaxed me down from NY; he a widower and I a widow of 26 yrs. Oh how I miss the pine trees and the snow and red noses of a Long Island winter. Decorating a palm tree just doesn't do it for me. My favorite memory is when my 2 girls were teen-agers and one snowy evening we walked around the neighborhood singing "Walking in a Winter Wonderland" and writing Merry Christmas on the windows and windshields of snow-covered cars. It was Christmas - and the houses were lit, the trees were decorated and the weather was the way it is "dreamed" of each year, and we were being silly and happy and making memories.
Jun 13th 2010 11:23AM I am sick of these huge weight losses showing a bikini body. Where is all the skin that would be hanging on the arms, belly, thighs, etc.? Most people can lose the weight but can't afford to get the huge skin-hangs chopped off.
May 14th 2010 11:39AM The radicals have ruined the Republican Party. The so-called "Tea-Party" people have no idea how to solve the problems they rant and rave about. The Democrats are losing out to the Liberals invading their party. Register as an Independent and forget party loyalty -- and vote for the person with a plan, not the ones promising you the "fix" without a plan to back it up.
Sep 10th 2009 10:22AM I think you had to live in NY on 9/11/01 to fully appreciate the horror of the day. Things at a distance don't look as bad as they do up close. For weeks afterward every plane flying over the house brought fear; restaurants had to cancel affairs because of funerals; and it seemed the entire state was covered in some sort of red, white and blue to show we weren't beaten down. My son was in one of the adjacent towers and had to run for his life as did thousands of others. We understand that you could still celebrate your daughters birthday on that day but I doubt any birthdays anywhere near the World Trade Center did. However, it is great to celebrate any 9/11 birthdays now -- we cannot let the devils who did that disgusting atrocity control the good days in our lives. We were knocked down but not for long. Get out your flags and celebrate your birthdays all you 9/11 people. Happy Birthday!
Nov 13th 2008 9:16PM Why do you even print this junk? These hateful, ignorant people read this and feed on it. Makes them feel powerful when in actuality they are just a ranting and raving little group of lunatics. In four years, if the majority of us don't like Obama, we can vote him out == or keep him in if he does good. As a white Republican who voted for Bush 8 years ago, I actually voted for Obama this time because the Rep. Party has gone so far right. Please don't give these creepy people more publicity.
Jan 15th 2008 8:53AM I liked Romney from the staart, but his position on abortion and gays turned me to McCain instead. It would be a step backward if Roe vs. Wade were reversed. And the gay rights issue should be left to the states -- remember the "states rights" issue that the federal govt. is trying to take away? Romney is right onthe ball about the immigration isue, however, where McCain is weak. As an Independent voter who votes for the person and not the party, I need more help in deciding, but the Evangelicals are ruining the Republican Party and the candidates better take into consideration that there are more NON-EVANGELICALS in the Party and should be listened to. Guiliani is not a good candidate due to his questionable background, but, until that was brought out, he was the front-runner for a long time due to his social issue positions that are more in keeping with the general population and not the holy-rollers. We are voting for a leader of the United States of America and not for a preacher.
Jan 5th 2008 8:56AM Why the stupid "Mr. Jolie" bit? GROW UP -- and let this beautiful family get on with their lives without all the ignorant remarks. He is a GREAT Dad and is giving those kids a great life, and Pax is doing what every other kid in the world likes to do, sit on Dad's lap and drive.
Jan 3rd 2008 11:37PM This is a fixed poll. No way is Paul ahead in all those staates.
Dec 27th 2007 10:29PM New Hampshire papers, people, politicians HATE anyone and anything that is associated with Massachusetts. Been like this forever so whatever they say about Romney is sour grapes. And just for the record, Mormons are Christians, not some far-out cult as stressed by the idiot papers. And, WOW! He is still married to his high school sweethear, wife #1.
Dec 24th 2007 9:39PM GO MITT ROMNEY. I wonder if my vote will be counted -- probably put it in as a vote for that Paul guy. Anyhow, Merry Christmas -- and get ready for all this boring stuff to overwhelm us in the months ahead. As I was saying: GO MITT ROMNEY.
