Giraffe milk has been declared Kosher {Slashfood}
Jun 7th 2008 5:03PM No, giraffe *milk* has been declared kosher. Giraffe meat has been kosher all along, but there's no-one slaughtering giraffes according to kashrut because there's no demand:

SpinWine {Luxist}
Feb 24th 2008 11:36AM It doesn't swirl the wine in a vacuum. Oxygen is introduced by exposing the wine to air, just like every other wine aerator.

Jul 13th 2007 3:01PM I'm not sure what a "Commercial Wine Competition" is but I bet the Napa wines that cost $100s aren't in it.

Kamado Grill {Luxist}
Sep 6th 2006 2:01PM I wonder if "rice cookers" got lost in translation somehow. A Kamado grill isn't a rice cooker, it's a grill! The one I'm used to seeing advertised is the Big Green Egg:

Dom Pérignon Champagne Bucket {Luxist}
Sep 6th 2006 1:53PM Yeah, this one's weird. It screams "new money", which isn't what I'd expect Dom to pander towards.

Blocky pixel-y ad has me baffled {AdJab}
Jul 28th 2006 9:01PM The pixelated mouse pointer communicates that they're an *online* movie rental service.
The setting of the mouse pointer or whatever communicates the name of the movie they're suggesting: for Jaws, the mouse pointer is a shark fin, and for Jurassic Park, it's a dinosaur (note the two legs at the bottom and the tail). For Dracula, it's two mouse pointers pointing downward, which doesn't really convey "mouse pointer" as well as it could, but does indeed convey "Dracula" (teeth).
So, famous movies illustrated by placing a mouse pointer in a particular way -- that's a pretty strong message for "rent movies online".
