When Warranties Are a Waste -- Savings Experiment {WalletPop}

Jan 6th 2011 10:49AM Two months ago we remodeled our entire kitchen with all new appliances with the FRIGIDARE name on them. Dishwasher control panel needed replaced after the FIRST use. Now refrigerator ice dispenser won't work. Ceramic cooktop is so poorly designed that the pans are all crowded into a small space and there's no room for the handles--also, small pan spaces are in the back and dangerous to reach with large pans in front; it also BOILS at the next-to-lowest heat setting. Wall oven's actual temp is much lower than indicated and baking is a nightmare. Only the microwave is as it should be and I'm keeping my fingers crossed! Cooktop made in China. Wall oven made in Canada. Refrigerator made in Mexico. Dishwasher made in China. I am learning that nothing is made in USA.

Dec 11th 2010 1:51PM The company that makes these pens is in Colorado, but are the pens made in the US or just distributed by a US company to confuse us?

Oct 16th 2010 10:18AM YES, YES, YES, JEANS THAT FIT AT THE WAIST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! As for what is in FASHION--The designers TELL us what is "fashion". Darn them. I want what I want and I'm not so insecure that I need someone to tell me what is in "fashion". Bring back denim jeans and all other women's pants with a waistband that fits at the waist. NOW!

Sep 13th 2010 5:31PM Real people are getting fatter. Models are getting skinnier. Clothes are getting stupider. Where can we buy reasonable clothing? I need new clothes and can't find any. And I'm not overweight--just not idiotic enough to wear the stuff in the stores right now.

GE coffee maker recall at Walmart: Can start fires {WalletPop}

May 20th 2010 9:26AM Start reading labels, packaging, etc. for "Made in" and you'll find that nearly EVERYTHING is made elsewhere--mostly China. There are very few American-made products, no matter what company distributes or puts its name on them. Never assume that because it's GE or any other so-called American company that the product is made here. Usually, it isn't. For American made, try Anchor Hocking, Sterilite, Tervis Tumblers, Hefty and Glad (not Ziploc, last I read, they were made in Thailand). I'm sure there are others, but precious few. READ, READ, READ and stop buying unless you just cannot live without it and cannot find American made. Voluntarily do without or very soon, you will be forced to do without.

Miley Cyrus' 'Can't Be Tamed' Video Is Her Adult Coming Out {PopEater}

May 5th 2010 3:25PM Good ole no-talent Billy Ray just can't give up his meal ticket, can he? I feel sorry for Miley, but it's probably too late to save her. He's made her into trash for the dollar value.
