Dec 16th 2012 5:08PM Why do they keep calling it a Mayan calendar prediction? It predicted nothing, it simply ended there. It did not have a little note written at the end saying "world ends this day." People maybe expected them to keep producing calendars ad infinitum? They had to stop sometime.

Babies and first class: why is this an issue? {Gadling}
Mar 13th 2012 10:29AM My last flight a baby squalled nearly the entire trip and I was immensely thankful that it was back in coach and not in first class. It might be easier on the parents in some ways, but it is harder on all the other passengers in first class who paid extra money to NOT sit and listen to a screaming child or smell dirty diapers the whole flight. They chose to be parents, let them deal with it. Likewise the drunks should be banned from flights anyway, and the obese should have to buy two seats, at least when they are flying coach, so these analogies do not hold up. You pay a lot more for first class for a more pleasant flight, and a baby shrieking next to you strips away a lot of that benefit.

If it is no big deal either way, why not get married and publicly and legally proclaim your commitment? No, it is a dodge to claim that it is "only a piece of paper." If it is so negligable, take that final step. To consistently decline to do so demonstrates a weakness in the relationship, not strength.

Those who run HOA's are too often control freaks who are grabbing at an opportunity to try to run eveyone else's life around then.
