Jay-Z Leads Cristal Boycott {Luxist}

Jun 19th 2006 12:29PM I know diddly about Rap, hip hop, or black american culture, but i have read the offending article, and it seems to me that any racism, implied or otherwise, cannot be attributed to Frederic Rouzaud. The economist was clearly looking for a controversial comment, and well done to them, they got one. This man makes wine in a tiny corner of France, that costs him a fortune to produce - of course he gets pissed off at seeing it poured all over the floor in music videos! And, like me, he wouldn't have a scooby about the culture, the music - any of that. he just sees the efforts of generations of his family being poured on girls behinds. No doubt this will cause howls of derision, but it does seem a case of making a mountain out of a molehill...
