Battlefield: Bad Company Conquest Mode DLC coming August 7th {Joystiq Playstation}
Aug 6th 2008 1:12AM It'd be nice if they un-nerf'ed the 'nade launcher. Towards the end of the video they show it taking down a chopper....but currently in game, all it's good for is blowing a hole in a wall. I walked right up behind a sniper, launched an m203(?) at his head, near point blank, and he survived.
Also, they really need to implement push-to-talk. I'm getting tired of hearing someone's kids/etc yelling in the background, or just someone breathing hard in to their mic (when the mic/voip works).
There's a $5,000 Burger in Las Vegas {Luxist}
May 14th 2008 3:34PM This trend of "$### burgers/cake/etc......with some pricey unrelated trinket/jewlery/beverage" is getting pretty lame. It's one thing to use a bunch of pricey ingredients like foie, truffles, wagyu, etc. in a dish, but c'mon. McD's could serve a "$10000 BigMac w/fries and a coke", by including a $9995 bejeweled goblet.
I suppose one could argue it'd be a $5000 meal, being that wine can be integral to a meal, but nobody (at least in media/blogs/etc) refers to it as a "$5000 meal"
BTW a 1990 Chateau Petrus costs about....

Gimme that raw steak, I mean iPod {Slashfood}
Apr 21st 2008 10:18PM Does it really cost $70 USD for just a case? It's cool, but not THAT cool. (unless you get some real wagyu with it, then it's all good)
Luxury Consumers Not Planning To Spend Their Rebate Checks {Luxist}
Apr 18th 2008 4:28PM Uh, if you're making $100k or more (actually $87k is the magic number), you get squat from the stimulus package. Zero. Nil. Zilch. Nada. So that's a totally useless survey/factoid, since those surveyed WON'T GET A "REBATE" CHECK.
