Mar 31st 2011 9:14PM I used to be with the Soroptomist Club and we'd raise money for Make-a-Wish.
The Make-a-Wish organization needs nothing other than to use that famous name to open the door to (I thought) 100% of the people or groups that it approaches. That's what I thought, because that's the way it always was. I'm sorry to hear that some cook had the lack of feeling to turn down a terminally ill child. Scheduling, schmeduling, could have been rescheduled with an explanation.
I hope no other 'famous' person ever gets so cold as to refuse a request from this fine organization. Swimming with dolphins will be great for him. They're friendly!

Sep 14th 2010 11:24PM I do not understand why anyone needs to go into a locker room to interview sports teams. But, if you must go, then wear "situation appropriate" clothing.
For instance: Would this woman wear those clothes to a court appearance if, God forbid, she was an attorney. I seriously doubt the court would be amused.
And about half the makeup at most. Look professional, act professional if you want to be perceived as professional. Save the trash look for your husband, maybe he can appreciate it.
